Whew! I think I finally finished updating just about all 700 images using all sorts of repositories including Pimsimdb, Google, 32assassin, and quite a few fabricated by myself. Check them out and see how you like them. They are all MUCH, MUCH better than what I started with about 2 weeks ago. Most look beautiful in the Hyperspin Future Pinball system. I'd say there are maybe at the most 10 that could use some help but I don't have the proper software. I used https://pixlr.com/ to edit the images but it's pretty good for a free online image editor.

Go to the FTP and look in /Unsorted Submissions/Future Pinball/malarrya/Images/Wheel

The next step is to go through all the videos and make the best collection for the tables. I don't have the time to record and edit my own but what I do have will suffice until someone comes along and decides to tackle about 400 videos. Once that is done, I can finalize the XMLs with proper names and dates. For now enjoy the wheel images.

Well done! Many thanks for doing all that. Is there a temporary database to go with it?

Thanks for the heads up. I just recreated and reloaded all the XML database files including the genre XMLs and genre image files. Hope you enjoy the set. The videos will be placed on the EmuMovies server after I go through them. I will upload them now so you all have something to go along with the tables but they will most likely change a bit over the next week or two.

EDIT: For some reason EmuMovies wouldn't load all the files on the FTP or it was transferring exceedingly slow so I just put the video files on my Google Drive. I don't know the specifics about linking to artwork here on the boards so PM me if you want a link to the MP4 archive.

Amazing work folks! I've spent the last week setting up my hyperspin and have learned a great deal about it. I then learned that we can do pinball too and my mind has been blown away by the sheer amount of you work you've all poured into this. Thanks many, looking forward to setting up this new wheel :)

I'm happy to hear you like it. It took quite a while to put this together. I doubt it will end up as anything official but maybe once the new version of HyerpSync is finally released it will be given a closer look. Perhaps the wheel pack will become the standard as it's the very best I could find but many of the videos should probably be recreated. I, unfortunately, have no screen capture software to do my own. By the way... if you set your Future Pinball wheel with the following HyperHQ settings it really looks great:

Should these tables be based off of the original tables or recreated, mods, hacks etc?

I don't know much about pinball but are the recreated tables just somehow enhanced original tables?

Original tables are video pinball creations that have never had an physical arcade pinball machine. For example there are Beatles, RUSH, and Van Halen video tables created by fans of the bands. These never existed as a functioning machine anywhere in the world.

Recreations are video recreations of pinball machine that DID exist in arcades and pizza parlors from yesteryear up to today. For example, some machines would be Haunted House, Addams Family, and Playboy.

I just collected together database sets that includes both original and recreations. Often times people will take some of the more popular tables, such as Addams Family, and modify them so they have more impressive graphics and sound. They name these mods as ULTRA or Ultimate. They are often some of the best gaming experiences for pinball but also may require a powerful PC to run properly. When it comes to strictly retro-gaming, only recreations would be considered retro since they emulate pinball machines that people used to play in the 50s - 2000s. Originals are just people using a subject they're fans of (movies, music, comics) and creating a game around it.
