This evening I will write up a summery of passed achievements and awesome work that is being consistently put out by our  equally awesome community. I am not an official spokesperson but I feel that Credit should be given to you dudes and dudettes and I want to stress that WE are the community and we love hyperspin. we OWN this. Thank you @AVAR for giving us this stimpak.

I do need to emphasise that I have no proxy rights for the hyperspin facebook page, so I can't make an official facebook post.

I am sure one of the other staff members can cross post it yeah? As valuable as @Avar is and missed at the moment the engine cant just stop dead guys after its been trying to generate momentum again.

If you need help also (Directed at those behind the scenes who work very hard) let us the community know  and we can help where possible.

From little things big things grow, especially with the crowd Hyperspin has.

Love this community, the sharing and content it has generated. It truly is the best front end/history of gaming in my opinion.

@fr0stbyt3 I see you have special status being able to "react" to my post.

Hoping that like button is on its way back soon

Yes, that feature is very much on the way back. We're working on it behind the scenes as part of the upgrade.

Thats really nice to know.

With the hopefully temporary dissapearence of Avar it would be nice to have a little global update on the behind the scenes work. A few of us are very needed for updates :)

HBL is my top request for any news since Avar closed the topic.

The public beta was closed so I can work closely on "breaking changes". All of your feedback is going into the latest version which I hope to have sneak previews of soon.  It will be worth the wait :)

I really can't wait for the new and improved Hyperspin FE.  Will it be its own self contained program without the need for Rocket Launcher?  Please tell me yes!  The learning curve/barrier of entry for normal folks who don't have time to mess with cumbersome menus  is really high.  This has been the number one issue with the FE since I became familiar with Hyperspin.

I couldn't agree more.

Very nice work KlopjerO.

I do think the most time consuming part however would be the cross post to Facebook as Avar would download and insert images of a lot of the media releases. :)
I think it was more about getting the information to those that don't stalk the website on an hourly basis.. hehe.

However it could all be done on the forums I would think and cross posted/shared to Facebook if anyone has posting rights of the page/group.

      OK..
      I'm going to start here..
I'm using lineageOS android 7.1.2 and downloaded the hyperspin android download files from the forums here.. (Located in hyperspin android download section)
OK, I installed the apk and hyperspin crashed upon opening. I didn't install the zip and 7zip files so far.
I deleted the hyperspin folder it created during install.. Gave me the following error.
      No Hyperspin Data Folder Found!
Valid locations are "/storage/UUID/Hyperspin","/sdcard/Hyperspin" (where folder was created), or "/storage/sdcard0/Hyperspin". Please visit Hyperspin-fe.com for more info.
OK, I took the liberty of creating an new folder and hyperspin did something interesting.. It loaded, expecting some file to load up, but the titlebar loaded HYPERSPIN and then hung as in no movement from that screen, but system was still accessible via alt-tab.
Going to pursue this a little more.
OK, recreated hyperspin folder, goes to load, but this time title bar goes to appear and hyperspin crashes out to main desktop.
Added the directories and files from the HFSBox15k-Andriod-patch.zip file into Hyperspin folder and crashed again.
Added the INI files from Settings_Android-10May2015.7z to Settings_Android folder and skipped the files currently in that folder (wasn't sure whether or not to override them)
      Hyperspin still crashes to desktop..

      Any ideas here?
Am I installing these files correctly, at the very least or is there something I'm missing here?
      Please help.

Gracias

I installed a bunch of new consoles on my HS last weekend (using Shield TV PRO).  Most worked without any issues but I'm having problems  with getting a few of them to run....Astrocade, Adventurevision, and Atari 5200. All of these systems I've set up using MAME to emulate, via the Working Systems list posted in this form.
I have MAME working fine on my HS setup, but these classic consoles using the MAME emulator to run aren't palying anything. I must have it set up wrong but I don't know what I'm doing. Possibly a BIOS issue? I never added any for these consoles but I didn't see any mention anywhere of having to use a BIOS either.   Here are my settings for the 5200 but the Astrocade + Adventurevision settings look the same:

      path=H:\hyperspin\emulators\Atari 5200\ rompath=Emulators/Atari 5200/roms/ userompath=true exe=com.retroarch/com.retroarch.browser.retroactivity.RetroActivityFuture romextension=a52 parameters=cores/mame_libretro_android.so

Hi guys, I recently downloaded a torrent of a full rom pack for Mame 0.185 but it turns out to be Mame 0.183
Can someone please help me to find the best emulator to play these through hyperspin? I recently used MAMEUFIX but was not aware they don't go higher than 0.75
And I can't seem to fin an emu for 0.183 has anyone got any links for one? It will be very much appreciated
