Wheel Images
Wheel images are the images that appear on the wheel and are in png format. We have accumulated thousands of wheel images for you to download. If you are the artistic type and decide that you would like to create your own wheel images then we suggest following the guidelines below. Every system in HyperSpin has its own wheel image folder in the media directory for that system. Simply place your wheel images in that folder and they will show up on the wheel as long as the wheel images have the same name as the entries in your database for the same system.
Logos take many shapes and some logos are long and some are round and some are short. We try to set some guidelines for editing logos that will make your images look good on the wheel.
It;s always best to try and manipulate the logo in such a way that it will be wider and shorter. 400 px width is the standard size of a HS wheel image. We also try to say less than 175 px on the height.
Here is an example of a good shape for a wheel image:

We're not always lucky enough to get a logo thats a good shape. Maybe we have a bad logo that's way too big like this:

It would be much better to have the wheel image re-edited to look like this:

Another bad starting example might be a round image like this:

If we made this wheel image 400px then it would be to big on the wheel due to its shape:

So a better way to approach this is to give some padding on the wheel image like so:

Now this image has a 400 px width which is what we want and is only 165 pixels high which is within our height limit also. This will look good on the wheel and won't overlap other wheel images too much.
The wheel consists of 2 sizes of wheel images. The center wheel image is the large image and all other images we call the small images. You can set the size of these images in the wheel settings. See the wheel tab tutorial in the settings section of this help area.
The above recommendations are great for the "normal wheel style" but if you use a wheel style that has less images on the screen such as the "vertical" wheel style then you can use slightly larger images, but we still recommend to follow the above guidelines for everyone's benefit.
