  1. Version 0.84.8

    3,322 downloads

Dear HyperSpin friends, I've put together a package of sorts, aimed at HyperSpin newcomers and veterans alike. I've been continuously grooming a custom "best of MAME" database, bezel set, and MAME ini file set for quite a while now. My goal is to provide something that someone can drop into a fresh setup or custom wheel and be up and running right away. I intend to release updates to the individual downloads on a periodic basis, so check the change logs for more information going forward. The package is split into three parts, as follows. Put together, these downloads will have results as shown in the screenshots. HyperSpin MAME.xml database (Link) Corresponding RocketLauncher bezel set (THIS DOWNLOAD, see below for details) MAME ini files (Link) File information: This download contains a set of RocketLauncher bezels which match the "best of MAME" XML database referenced above. Not every game has a bezel yet, but progress continues either by myself or other artists in the community. All credit is due to the original artists and all file names should contain bezel creator names. I've merely gone through what's available, selected my personal favorites, renamed them to match ROMs, and included them here. Or I've created or modified (with permission/credit) them myself. Info/caveats: The version number of this pack corresponds to the percentage of Bezel coverage to the "best of" database mentioned above (ex: if 50% of games have bezels, the version number will be 0.50) Entire pack is split into three zip files to meet the site's file size restrictions All bezels are 16x9, and at least 1920x1080 For each game with bezels available I've picked my favorite and included it A default bezel is included for those games without coverage Bezel folder names match ROM names in the "best of" database (important for clones) Install instructions: Download files Extract compressed folders into your \RocketLauncher\Media\Bezels\MAME folder Assuming you've got bezels enabled in RocketLauncher... Enjoy!

  3. hello friends i cant choose petes open gl 2.9 driver only 2 default drivers.... how can i change it ?
  4. Hello guys, i'm trying to run PS1 games from hyperspin, but it doesn't work for some reason... I've been using Retroarch to play PS1 games, which have been working great, but ePSXe gives me more options to configure the graphics and make it look better... Now my problem is that everytime when i configure the video settings in ePSXe, and launch it from the program it works great... However, everytime when i try to launch it from Rocketlauncher or Hyperspin it gives me this error: "Missing render texture extension" and "No pixel format available" and it crashes Now, i do know how to fix this problem, and to do so you just configure and change the "Streching mode" and "Render mode" to atleast "1" in the settings.. BUT when i do that and run a game from let say RocketLauncher, those settings i just changed resets for some reason and i get the same problem with as mentioned above ("Missing render texture extension" and "No pixel format available"). And by that i have to change the settings AGAIN just because it resets to the default settings.... Do any of you guys know how to fix this problem and to make it NOT to reset the video settings?
  5. ASSISTANCE APPRECIATED

Hello all & thanks for welcoming me into your community. I've spent some time trying to do this on my own, but as you may know we all need some assistance with this the first time around. Or at least I know I do. And believe me I tried to avoid posting this because I really wanted to get as far as I could before I asked for any help. But here is my issues, I've edited my settings ini, I've made sure my hyperspinhq formats are seperated by commas, I've renamed my roms with Don's Hyperspin tools, but when I go to launch a rom now I get backed out into the title selection wheel or the console selection screen every time. Can't get any roms to load up, here is my log. Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for all the hard work everyone puts in here & elsewhere 16:23:32:393 | RL | INFO | +N/A | Main - RocketLauncher v1.2.0.1 (www.rlauncher.com) 16:23:34:820 | RL | INFO | +2422 | Main - System Specs: RocketLauncher Dir: C:\Users\king james r\Desktop\RocketLauncher RocketLauncher is: 32-bit OS: Microsoft Windows 10 Home SKU: Windows 8 Total Memory: 1978.92 MB Free Memory: 302.37 MB Used Memory: 1676.551 MB SystemType: 64-bit Physical Processors: 1 Logical Processors: 1 GPU 1 Name: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1) GPU 1 RAM: 0.00 MB GPU 1 Driver Version: 8.15.10.2702 GPU 2 Name: Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1) GPU 2 RAM: 797.46 MB GPU 2 Driver Version: 8.15.10.2702 Sound 1 Device: Realtek High Definition Audio Sound 1 Status: Enabled Sound 2 Device: XSplit Stream Audio Renderer Sound 2 Status: Enabled OS Language: English_United_States System Locale: en-US Formats Locale: en-US Windows UI Language: en-US Text Encoding: Windows-1252 OS Admin Status: No RL Compatibility Flags: Latest .Net Version: v4.0.30319 Monitor #1 (\\.\DISPLAY1): 1366x768 (1366x728 work) [32bit] [60hz] [Landscape] (Primary) Current AHK Desktop Width: 1366 Current AHK Desktop Height: 768 Monitor #1 DPI: 100 ErrorMode: 0 AutoHotkey Path: AHK Version: 1.1.13.00 Unicode: No 16:23:34:820 | RL | INFO | +0 | CheckFile - Checking if C:\Users\king james r\Desktop\RocketLauncher\RocketLauncher.exe exists 16:23:34:848 | RL | INFO | +31 | Main - Raw CLI received: "-s Nintendo Entertainment System -r 10-Yard Fight (USA, Europe) -f C:\Users\king james r\Desktop\Hyperspin\HyperSpin.exe -p HyperSpin -c 1 -o 1" 16:23:34:885 | RL | INFO | +31 | Main - Loading Front End Plugin: "HyperSpin" 16:23:34:885 | RL | INFO | +0 | Main - RocketLauncher received "Nintendo Entertainment System" and "10-Yard Fight (USA, Europe)" 16:23:34:920 | RL | INFO | +47 | Main - Did not find a "C:\Users\king james r\Desktop\RocketLauncher\Settings\Nintendo Entertainment System\Game Options.ini" file, skipping any game-specific options. 16:23:34:920 | RL | INFO | +0 | Main - 10-Yard Fight (USA, Europe) is using the default emulator: Nestopia 16:23:34:920 | RL | INFO | +0 | Main - Checking for a [Nestopia] section in C:\Users\king james r\Desktop\RocketLauncher\Settings\Nintendo Entertainment System\Emulators.ini 16:23:34:933 | RL | INFO | +0 | Main - Found [Nestopia] in C:\Users\king james r\Desktop\RocketLauncher\Settings\Nintendo Entertainment System\Emulators.ini 16:23:34:934 | RL | INFO | +0 | CheckFile - Checking if C:\Users\king james r\Desktop\Hyperspin\Modules\Nintendo Entertainment System\Nintendo Entertainment System (Nestopia 1.39 BBB 1.0).ahk exists 16:23:34:963 | RL | WARNING | +31 | Main - CRC Check - Module has no CRC defined on the header. 16:23:34:963 | RL | INFO | +0 | Main - 10-Yard Fight (USA, Europe) will use module: C:\Users\king james r\Desktop\Hyperspin\Modules\Nintendo Entertainment System\Nintendo Entertainment System (Nestopia 1.39 BBB 1.0).ahk 16:23:34:004 | RL | INFO | +47 | Main - Using standard method with "Rom Extension" SkipChecks or without any SkipChecks. 16:23:35:012 | RL | INFO | +0 | CheckFile - Checking if C:\Users\king james r\Desktop\Hyperspin\Emulators\Nestopia\nestopia.exe exists 16:23:35:444 | RL | INFO | +438 | Main - INI Keys read 16:23:35:486 | RL | INFO | +47 | CheckFile - Checking if C:\Users\king james r\Desktop\RocketLauncher\Module Extensions\7z.exe exists 16:23:35:623 | RL | INFO | +140 | CheckFile - Checking if C:\Users\king james r\Desktop\RocketLauncher\Module Extensions\7z.dll exists 16:23:35:905 | RL | INFO | +281 | Main - "10-Yard Fight (USA, Europe)" does not qualify for MultiGame. 6. Hi everyone - this forum has been incredibly valuable as I finally have a working cabinet running HS 1.4 and Rocket Launcher. The only thing still bugging me is a minor one. I would love to show the play count of each game when I'm flipping through the wheel, for instance on MAME. I went into the MAME.ini and found Game Text options, but I don't see a control for showing play count. And I don't know if there's a way to override the info that HyperHQ wants to display vs. what I can control in "Fade - Info" in RL. Any ideas? I may post again one more time when I try to create my own custom genres and rom lists but hopefully I can figure that out on my own and with existing posts. Appreciate any help on the display info settings!
  7. HyperSpin on Fat32 & Wiiflow

Hello, I am interested in starting a new project. I have a Seagate 4TB external hard drive I want to reformat with FAT32 so I can use it with WiiFlow on Nintendo Wii and also use HyperSpin on PC at the same time. This way, I believe I would only need one set of roms and possibly art. I believe I will need two sets of emulators so I can setup the controls separately on both (PC xbox 360 conrollers) (Wii wiimotes/gamecube controllers) I plan on using everything in the default wiiflow folders and then use RLauncher to route everything in the Wiiflow folders for HyperSpin. Obviously I will use the Wii Backup manager for wbfs for backups of my wii games to keep it under 4gb. Any ideas or theories if there would be any other issues doing this or with any certain systems or rom type extensions that would not be compatible with both wii and pc hyperspin? Thanks!
  8. Hyperspin Cant Find Roms

Hello i have ran into a issue while trying to set up an Atari 7800 Emulator with hyperspin. I am using the emulator "ProSystem", I have everything up and running in RocketLauncher UI. All 58/59 roms found and run like a dream. When i try to launch it through HyperLaunch i recieve the following error in my HyperLaunch Log. " 11:04:37 PM | HyperLaunch v2.25c 11:04:37 PM | System Specs: HyperSpin Dir: C:\Hyperspin OS: WIN_7 OS Language: 0409 OS Admin Status: No Monitor #1 (\\.\DISPLAY1): 1920x1080 (1920x1040 work) HyperSpin Res: 1936x1056 AHK Version: 1.1.07.03 11:15:43 PM | HyperLaunch launched directly 11:15:57 PM | HyperLaunch received "Atari 7800" and "Centipede (USA)" 11:15:57 PM | INI Keys read 11:15:57 PM | Checking paths 11:15:58 PM | Cannot find Rom - C:\Hyperspin\Roms\Atari 7800\Centipede (USA) with any provided extension I have checked my rom extensions in HyperHQ and they are as follow "7z|zip|a78". I have gone in to the .ini for this system and made sure the rom paths are correct, wich they are. If i run hyperspin and go to my "Atari 7800" Console it cant seem to find any of my roms so it wont load my wheel (yes i know its on "Rom Only" im just mentioning hyperspin cant find the roms either), I have made sure i have the right XML in the database, folder named exactly as the console name "Atari 7800". I have checked all of this fourm and a couple others and couldn't find a solution for this unique problem. If anyone out there could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.
  9. RetroArch + HyperSpin+ RL

Gents, I'm trying to configure Atari Lynx for Hyperspin via RL and apply a bezel. When I hit F1 to enter the RA menu it automatically goes full screen and I can adjust the view point to center within the bezel. I've edited the Atarti Lynx.cfg through the retroarch menu as well as manually and it continues to blow up full screen once the RA menu appears. Is this core designed specifically to run in Fullscreen? My .cfg is attached. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!! Atari Lynx.cfg UPDATE: Just FYI when I configure other systems/cores I get the green RetroArch menu. For this particular system is comes up blue as if I were running RetroArch standalone from the .exe.
  10. Hi all, I am having a weird issue and I can't find the solution. I hope you can, since you are more experienced than me for sure. I have hyperspin 1.4 configured with RLauncher 1.0. I have configured joytokey 5.x to be started once HS is opened (thru hyperhq) and until then it is good. The problem is that once I close a MAME game launched by RLauncher, the joytokey progam is closed too (I assume RL is closing it but I can't find any conf about that) so from then I can't use HS anymore, unless it is opened manually again. I searched and tested a lot but I can't find the cause for this weird behavior. Any kind of help on this is very appreciated Thanks, Martin
  11. Problem with NES w/retroarch

I've have been using the simply austin guide to set up hyperspin with rocketlauncher. So far snes and genesis have been easy with retroarch, but when I attempted nes I hit a wall. rocketlauncher has detected my ROMs, but when I go to launch one the message in the picture I've attached shows (sorry its sideways). So I then booted up retroarch when to "load content" then "select file and detect core" and selected a ROM it gave me the message "no cores available". Then then went to "load core" loaded nestopia and the a rom and it worked, then did the same with quicknes and it worked. Has anyone else ran into this problem before? I need help.
  12. Hello Hyperspin Community I'm having some issues getting Hyperspin to load my Sega Naomi games. (Placed some images below, not sure if I put them on the page correctly but if you right click and open link in new tab they are very readable.) I am running Demul 0.7a with Demul 0.7a roms downloaded from a reputable source. Using the Database XML from HS provided by Circo Games Launch with Demul and I can fully play them. Games Launch with RocketLauncher even though a game audit shows every rom red. All of my CHD files are in their respected unzipped folders. All of my Rom files are Zipped still. I'm not 100% positive I have my Hyperspin HQ setup correct for this Emulator. I'm probably missing something simple but this is the error i'm getting. I have tried to change the chd file name to match what it is asking for but then it says it can't find the ini file with the original file name associated with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I can provide any other info needed.
  13. Launching Pinabll FX2 without Steam?

I'm having a hard time getting Pinball FX2 and Pinball Arcade to load without steam. They play by themselves without steam, but through RocketLauncher and Hyperspin, it says cannot find Steam etc... Any suggestions on what to do?
  14. HyperArchiver

    Version 0.0.0.17

IMPORTANT - READ FIRST My English is not good so expect typos and grammatical mistakes. Warning: When using HA, Do Not set your current ROMs folder as Output folder... this can DELETE ALL ROMS in that folder. Use a New Folder as Output. (Its not just like that, i use HA with my roms folder as output all the time, HA also warn you before delete the files in that folder to create new ones, but you have to be careful. Anyway Better to be sure all people get the message) In the current RocketLauncher version the Launch Menu don't work with the files produced by this app, the RL team is aware of this and will fix the problem. HyperArchiver 0.0.0.17 What is HyperArchiver? Hyperarchiver is an application that takes an Hyperspin XML Database and an UNZIPPED roms folder, compare both (CRC and Filename Compare) and outputs a series of Zip or 7z archives that represents every game in the Database, each one of these archives containing all versions for that given game. Also it generates a RomsMapping.ini file that can be used with RocketLauncher to display the "Launch Menu" and let you select the vesion of the game you want to play. You don't Know what i'm talking about? You MUST READ http://www.rlauncher...le=Rom_Mapping for more info of Rom Mapping, Launch menu and RocketLauncher in general and how to use this tools before continue. You MUST READ the included HyperArchiver readme file, wich contains detailled information on how to use the app. Quick Start I made this program to create a multi-region hyperspin instalation that let me select the English, Spanish (if there is a Spanish version) and sometimes Japanese version of a rom, but it can be used with any languaje / region, include hacks and other rom versions. Extract all the Roms of a full rom set in a temp folder... delete the regions you don't want to be included in the search (Japan, Germany, Etc.) using windows search feature . Create a new folder somewhere to store the Zip/7z Files, and set it as Output Folder in HyperArchiver. Use HyperArchiver to find all matches of every game (How to? read included HyperArchiver readme file). Once the search process as ended you can make some changes to the results using the HyperArchiver Files Editor and then compress all the files in 7zip or Zip formats. Finally open the Rom Mappings folder (inside HA folder) and copy the Rom Mapping.ini file to your RocketLauncher/Settings/[sYSTEM NAME]/Rom Mapping folder to use the ultra cool "Launch Menu". Remember to enable Rom Mapping and Launch menu in RocketLauncherUI or the Launch Menu will not work. (More info in http://www.rlauncher...tle=Rom_Mapping) In short: A picture is worth a thousand words MAME and Other Arcade Systems HyperArchiver works with single file roms, and not with MAME-like romsets, for that purpose I included a “Clone Rom Mapping Maker” based on the script created Bleasby (Thanks) that creates the Rom Mapping.ini for use with Launch Menu based in the parent/clones relationship of the games. This way you can have just the MAME parents in your front end, and the launch menu will allow you to select the clones of that game. Bugs HyperArchiver was made for my own usage, has not ben tested so much and its in a really earlier version, I have little time to work in it so I decide to release it right now. My English it’s not good so expect typos and grammatical mistakes. You can send me notifications of errors as PM in the Hyperspin Forums (User: Knewlife) including: • Operative System • Screenshot • What is supposed to happen • What happen really • What you were doing when the error occurs? • Can you duplicate the error? Do not expect a quick answer. The donwload include a readme file with more information and source code (Autoit3 code) ... please coment what you think Older versions of the app can be found in this post: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/1931-hyperarchiver-0007
  15. HyperSpin won't launch NES games

Greetings, I've run into an issue that I cannot seem to figure out. When launching a .NES game through retroarch (July 17 2016 build), there are no problems, the game launches fine. When I launch the game through rocketlauncher indicating to use retroarch as the emulator, again no problems. Through Hyperspin, I can select the Nintendo Entertainment System platform, be shown the list of existing games (no problems here so far) and after that, when I press enter on my keyboard, nothing happens. I suspect an AHK file issue but I cannot be sure. At first launch, I got an error message saying the nintendo entertainment system.ahk file did not exist, so i created one (copy actually from another ahk file present in the dir) and renamed to to exactly what it was looking for. My HyperHQ NES settings are exactly in line with all my other working emulators, paths and such through Hyperspin. please advise.
  16. To upgrade or not to upgrade?

Ok guys so this weekend I'm adding some more hard drive space to my arcade. While doing it I thought why not have a separate ssd with just hyperspin, the media, emulators, and a good portion of the roms. Here is the thing though I am still on hyperlaunch and hyperspin 1.3. I am def. Upgrading to rocketlauncher that is a no brainier. The question is... do I also upgrade hyperspin to 1.4? I kept up during beta and heard about all the bugs... where does it stand now? Everything great now? No outstanding issues I should be aware of? I know I can read and find out lol but was hoping for a quick overview. Also what are the pros other than just being on the newer supported version? Everything works great right now just need more space and I'm sick of modifying modules for newer emulators because I'm still on hyperlaunch lol it's been a pain but always figure it out. Thanks for the advice / tips

I created this AHK script to enable me to batch rename media to work with Rocketlauncher's PAUSE. As it requires the files to be put into a very specific folder structure to do it on a mass scale was tedious. Basically, you can now point to a folder full of files such as pdf manuals and it will copy and rename them into the correctly structured folders and rename the files to whatever you want. This is really helpful if you want to use the MAME extras. It will not alter any original files. It will copy or move the temp files created. You can give this a try without it altering your setup. I hope it is useful to you. Hopefully anyone familiar with Hyperspin and Rocketlauncher will understand how things need to be renamed and restructured and this will do it all for you with a few clicks.

About the Super Nintendo The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (also known as the Super NES, SNES or Super Nintendo) is a 16-bit home video game console developed by Nintendo that was released in 1990 in Japan, 1991 in North America, 1992 in Europe and Australasia (Oceania), and 1993 in South America. In Japan, the system is called the Super Famicom, officially adopting the abbreviated name of its predecessor, the Family Computer), or SFC for short. In South Korea, it is known as the Super Comboy and was distributed by Hyundai Electronics. Although each version is essentially the same, several forms of regional lockout prevent the different versions from being compatible with one another. The SNES is Nintendo's second home console, following the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The console introduced advanced graphics and sound capabilities compared with other consoles at the time. Additionally, development of a variety of enhancement chips (which were integrated on game circuit boards) helped to keep it competitive in the marketplace. The SNES was a global success, becoming the best-selling console of the 16-bit era despite its relatively late start and the fierce competition it faced in North America and Europe from Sega's Genesis/Mega Drive console. The SNES remained popular well into the 32-bit era, and continues to be popular among fans, collectors, retro gamers, and emulation enthusiasts, some of whom are still making homebrew ROM images. About the Sega Master System The Sega Master System is a third-generation home video game console that was manufactured by Sega. It was originally released in 1985 as the Sega Mark III in Japan. After being redesigned prior to its North American launch, the console was renamed Master System and released in 1986 in North America, 1987 in Europe, and 1989 in Brazil. The redesigned Master System was also released in Japan in 1987. Both the Mark III and the original Master System models could play with both cartridges and the credit card-sized "Sega Cards", which retailed at lower prices than cartridges but had lower storage capacity; the Master System II and later models did not have the card slot. The Master System also featured accessories such as a light gun and 3D glasses which were designed to work with a range of specially coded games. Succeeding the SG-1000, the Master System was released as a direct competitor to the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in the third generation of video game consoles. The Master System was constructed with hardware superior to that of the NES, but failed to overturn Nintendo's significant market share advantage in Japan and North America. However, it attained significantly more success in Europe and Brazil. The hardware of the Master System also shared many similarities with Sega's handheld game console, the Sega Game Gear. Compared to its competition from Nintendo, the Master System's game library lacks a number of well-received titles due to Nintendo's licensing practices that restricted third-party developers from creating games for any system other than the NES. Sales of the console have been estimated between 10 and 13 million units, not including recent Brazil sales, compared to 62 million NES units sold. Reception to the system given in retrospect gives credit to the system's role in Sega's development of the Sega Genesis and for having a number of well-received titles, but is generally critical of its smaller game library compared to the NES. It was initially released in Japan as the Family Computer (also known by the portmanteau abbreviation Famicom and abbreviated as FC) on July 15, 1983, and was later released in North America during 1985, in Europe during 1986, and Australia in 1987. In South Korea, it was known as the Hyundai Comboy and was distributed by SK Hynix which then was known as Hyundai Electronics. It was succeeded by the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. The best-selling gaming console of its time, the NES helped revitalize the US video game industry following the video game crash of 1983. With the NES, Nintendo introduced a now-standard business model of licensing third-party developers, authorizing them to produce and distribute titles for Nintendo's platform. In 2009, the Nintendo Entertainment System was named the single greatest video game console in history by IGN, in a list of 25. MAME (an acronym of Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator) is an emulator application designed to recreate the hardware of arcade game systems in software on modern personal computers and other platforms. The intention is to preserve gaming history by preventing vintage games from being lost or forgotten. The aim of MAME is to be a reference to the inner workings of the emulated arcade machines; the ability to actually play the games is considered "a nice side effect". Joystiq has listed MAME as an application that every gamer should have. The first public MAME release (0.1) was on February 5, 1997, by Nicola Salmoria. The emulator now supports over seven thousand unique games and ten thousand actual ROM image sets, though not all of the supported games are playable.
