Hi. I have have no experience with wood working so my questions is:

Any router will be good for slot cutting? For example cheapest router for 30 pounds? I know i need to buy bits for router so price for 3 off them is 35 pounds. So this set well be good for t molding? Router ~30 + bits 35=65 pounds.... Size of MDF is 18 mm

"To cut the correct slot for standard arcade T-moulding you need:

- 6702A Slot cutter (Diam 47.63mm Kerf 2.03mm)

- B25 Bearing (Outer Diam 28.58mm, Inner Diam 7.94)

- A200B Arbor (Shank 6.35mm)"

You got to get the right size slot cutter arbor for your router..theres 2 sizes. 1/2" and 1/4" some routers come with reducing collets so getting a 1/2" router is probably a safer bet. £30 Pounds sounds like a cheap arse router but if your only using it specifically for the T-moulding then i guess it would do the job. Doesnt matter on the depth on the mdf you can adjust the slot cut on the routers plunge. The slot cutter i bought came complete with both bearing, arbour and cutter.

ThankYou for advice but still i need help. Could U please paste links with cheap router for this job ( yes router for one job only)

Can be on ebay.co.uk or other UK store...also some links with slot bits...

I following this guide http://www.coldbeamgames.com/blog.html and info about slot cuter i get from ther...

"I bought a router and some t-moulding samples. I then needed the correct sized slot cutter bit, arbor and bearing.

After a lot of searching I found a site here in the UK ( http://www.routercutter.co.uk/ ).

To cut the correct slot for standard arcade T-moulding you need:

- 6702A Slot cutter (Diam 47.63mm Kerf 2.03mm)

- B25 Bearing (Outer Diam 28.58mm, Inner Diam 7.94)

- A200B Arbor (Shank 6.35mm)

So you can see in the picture the slot and the T-moulding sitting just right."

All this 3 iteams i found http://www.routercutter.co.uk/ is around 35 pounds...so i can order, only the router is a problem...please give me a links.... Egzample

It's a little outside your price range (I think it equates to 60 pounds) ; it's a great entry level router.

This was the first router I bought and I still love it! The router has now become my most frequently used tool. It can be used for so many applications.... I cannot imagine living without it!

Gday wiskas either way if you want to do t-moulding or you just want nice edges your gonna need a router. If it were me i would be getting a 1/4" trimming router and you can get all the bits you need for it, bullnose, chamfer, or a slotter for t-moulding. The trimming router is easier to use for a beginner in my opinion,as you can use it in one hand and doesnt have the power of a 1/2" router which scare some people. Here's an example of what you want post-12606-142870604752_thumb.jpg.

The bit you want looks like this post-12606-142870604756_thumb.jpg.

Hope this helps.
