ParadoxSeven Posted August 3, 2014 Share Posted August 3, 2014 So since hypersync is no longer syncing mame videos what if i log into emumovies and dump the entire "MAME [Videos][MP4][480p][MAME .148][EM 20130408]" folder into my video folder, will HyperSync be able to sync these files up correctly for any rom name changes? or will that still not process that way.. Also would "MAME [Videos][MP4][480p][MAME .148][EM 20130408]" be the correct folder that we would want? albert_c Posted August 12, 2014 Share Posted August 12, 2014 I just finished downloading my MAME 1.54 set last week. I also just got done syncing my entire MAME media (including videos). No issues whatsoever. I have the complete set for MAME 1.54. Here is what I am doing differently than what you guys may be doing: Firstly, I am not attempting to sync media to the entire default MAME.xml that comes with the HyperSpin install. The MAME.xml file in the \\HyperSpin\Databases\MAME contains every possible game imaginable with MAME (clones, bootlegs, etc.). No point attempting to sync with all those games. I have paired down my listing roms for my MAME.xml file with the output file generated by using Don's HyperSpin Tools. I have made a video which describes my thought process as to how I had that done: (go to the 3rd section of the video) You certainly do not want to sync media from EU movies to every game listed in the MAME.xml. I had the same problem: Error: backgroundWorkerRunSync_DoWork() Details: System.NullReferenceException I've looked at the files generated by HyperSync, and the problem seems to be in the emumovies API, apparently it has a limit in the number of results it can return. If we take a look in TempSearch.xml file generated by HyperSync Cloud, we can see that each game has a result line like this: <Result Found="True" URL="http://api.gamesdbase.com/c934355f6333c85d622f385d63c8c82ca0306134c62e645effddc9fb5b7168b7c4586c6bc35a67625e6cc7c86b556d5dc86b6169.mp4" search="nbapbp" CRC="fb642b17" Size="63393"/> If we try to Sync all the games in MAME.xml DataBase (9069 games), the last result returned by Emumovies API is the following: <Result Information="More results are available. Please request again with a filtered search" Status="5" /> So when HyperSync Cloud try to parse the above line, it will generate the backgroundWorkerRunSync_DoWork() error, because that line doesn't containt required information to download the video (URL, search, CRC, Size). So to fix that, we must to trim our MAME Database (MAME.xml), so Emumovies API will not return the "error" result. I've used the solution proposed by @albert_c , and now MAME database contains 7996 games, and Emumovies API is not returning any error, therefore HyperSync Cloud is syncing all MAME movies with no problem.
