Loved the Crylen framed wheel pack, but didn't see one for Sega Y Board, Sony PSP Minis or Sega System 18, and I didn't like the Sega Mark III and Taito Classics one, so have made some basic ones for all 5 systems.

Have you noticed that some of the vertical games for Sega Naomi look terrible stretched out (even to 4-3 aspect ratio)? Well, this is an attempt to address that. If you have bezels turned on in RocketLauncher, and set the aspect ratio to 'stretch' in the Demul module, it should display correctly for vertical games with this bezel. So far, I've only tested a few games. Here's a before and after: As you can see, in the 'after' shot the Naomi logo doesn't look distorted. When I was tweaking the display, I simply compared a Naomi logo (with the correct aspect) with a screenshot, and I made adjustments until it was close to perfect. (note that I cut out part of the bezel to make sure the sides are lined up properly). So while I am not entirely sure if this is 'perfect' vertical aspect, Demul has no setting to do so, and this was a trial & error attempt at improvement. I've updated the files, and figured out all (I think) of the vertical games. All you will need to do is unzip this download into your \RocketLauncher\Media\Bezels\Sega Naomi folder.

Credit for this set goes to @goofers - 3D PAL jewel case template @Black Hazor - source scans, downloads, and photos @Avar - source scans, feedback, and artistic direction @fire10 - PAL jewel cases, feedback and artistic direction @SupraKarma - project lead This set includes jewel case/DVD case 3D art for every game in the [Official] Sega Dreamcast xml, which you can find here. Special thanks goes to @JSinn and @Kondorito. Your insight and constructive criticism has made me more aware as a graphic artist. Thank you for taking the time to help me improve. This set is dedicated to the massive media contributors. As much as I'd like to name people by name, I'd probably forget some very important contributors, and I don't want to do that. If you've sacrificed your time - the most valuable commodity we all have in this life - to make HyperSpin more enjoyable for everyone, this is for you. You are the backbone of this entire community, and in a very real sense - HyperSpin itself. I had no idea how much work this project was going to be when I started it. I thought I'd have it done in a week, and I underestimated it greatly. There were many unforeseeable obstacles that slowed down progress and turned a one week project into a 2 month project. I have newfound respect for HyperSpin contributors that I didn't before. This set, while not perfect, is as close as I will ever come to putting out A+++ artwork. It is certainly better than I had imagined it would be when I first started it - and I am proud to present on behalf of my co-contributors the [OFFICIAL] HyperSpin Sega Dreamcast 3D Jewel Case Art HD set. Enjoy.

Unless I've overlooked something, there was no section to upload letter packs to, so I uploaded this pack as a 'pointer' instead. Someone should fix this. These letters have been created using the 'Tahoma' font, which is the font used in the Dreamcast logo. It's very close to the actual font, only very slight differences (that you probably won't notice unless you're trying to).

  17. UHD Sega Dreamcast Jewel Case Project WIP View File The "UHD Sega Dreamcast Jewel Case Project" is a team effort between myself, @fire10, and @Black Hazor. It is very much a work in progress. Our goal is to provide the community with a Ultra Hi Definition, future-proofed set of Sega Dreamcast box art. Black Hazor has managed to collect high quality scans for over half of the current official database, and has actually volunteered to purchase some of the missing games. He truly jumpstarted this project... because I was on the fence about just putting together something far less extraordinary. Fire10 started this project, and has contributed design ideas, invaluable feedback, and is currently working on 'special' jewel cases that will not work with the basic templates we've already designed. Thanks goes to @goofers for providing the PAL template. Special thanks to @Avar, @Kondorito, for feedback and tips, and especially @JSinn for help polishing the final versions of our templates. A regular HD project is already in the works. It will include everything from this project resized to usable HyperSpin 1.4 sizes. Since this project will not be finished any time soon, that project will be finished first most likely. When this one is complete, that one will become obsolete. I will be uploading material as it becomes available. Expect there to be updates. Version 1.0 of this project includes the following: 1. The original source materials that Black Hazor has collected. If you need 2D scans, the file you want is '___Original Source Material.7z.' Rather than make things confusing, future uploads of source material will be named as such: Missings (version number here). So if the current version of this project is 1.3, the file will be called Missings 1.3.7z. 2. The templates we are currently using. We are currently satisfied with the templates we have, but if they get updated, I will state such in future updates. 3. A set of photoshop .psd files with all of the PAL set from the current database, sized and snapped to guides, ready to be batched using photoshop actions. This file is called ___Batch PAL.7z. I considered putting instructions here on how to run batch actions to files, but decided against it. There are videos on youtube for that sort of thing. Both the layers are smart objects, meaning they can be resized and altered as much as you like, without losing quality. Thanks to JSinn for making me aware of this. The basic idea is, if someone even more finicky than myself wants to clean the scans for white specks and blemishes and whatnot, they can do so, then run a batch, and then the community will have an even better set. The spines had to be resized first prior to making them smart objects. Photoshop actions has no practical way to resize specific layers specific dimensions (which is what I really needed). It will let you enter in pixels instead of percentage (by specifying "1363px" for example), but when you go to run a batch, it will not respect that and use percentage instead. Lame. 4. The UHD PAL set from the database. Currently one game is missing. (you will need to make copies and rename multi disc games) __UHD PAL.7z is the file you want, if you came here for that. Missings List If you happen to own any of the games in this list, and are able to provide UHD scans (1360x1360 or better) for both the fronts and the backs, please upload the scan to the following thread: This list will be updated as I upload more materials, and with future updates. This is a combination of the official hyperlist xml, the 'official' thread that Tonesmalones and others contributed to, and work done by me. I'm trying to steer away from renaming 'ROM' names. It's a hassle for the entire community. At the end of the day the 'game name' or 'file name' is irrelevent, what displays in HyperSpin (currently, the description) is what matters. Big changes are coming with the way we do databases, but for now, I prefer to change the 'description' name only, unless the ROM name is particularly offensive to me (e.g. Sega Rally Championship 2 instead of Sega Rally 2: Sega Rally Championship. Also note that Tonesmalones made it a point to utilize semicolons in the descriptions. I agree with this, it looks more 'professional' like a movie title. Hyphens will still be used for games like Street Fighter 3: Third Strike - Fight for the Future, also in certain instances, like Resident Evil - Code: Veronica. What I'm trying to avoid is double instances of anything. It looks sloppy. Again, these changes are only in the description, the filenames will use hyphens for everything. I understand that the current consensus is to include 'everything playable,' even mahjong games that require you to navigate a Japanese menu to even play. I have mixed feelings on this. I didn't include stuff like this because I consider it culturally insignificant. If you take issue with this, speak up. But it's more work for everyone involved - it means someone has to make a 'Hentai Tentacle Master Gangbang Mahjong part 5' wheel, box art, video, etc. I have no desire for this kind of stuff in the official list, playable or not. Games that are either 'unplayable,' undumped, or 'culturally insignificant' have been exported to an 'exclude' list. The idea is, you can easily merge the official list and the exclude list, to have every game if you so desire. This should please everyone. If you're mad that a game wasn't included, well, there's the exclude list. Feel free to add it yourself. If you believe there have been errors made, and some Japanese games belong in the main list, by all means, bring it to my attention, we'll make it happen. Games have been checked for publisher and rating accuracy. The list is certifiably 96% accurate, there may be minor updates as I continue to work on my 'Ultimate Sega Dreamcast' project. As always, if there are errors, feel free to bring them to my attention. We all want the same thing here - accurate data.

  22. Ultimate Sega CD View File I checked the database for accuracy, and made a number of changes, also added 3 new games (see pictures) - "Bloodshot," and two translations. The 'Two Players' and 'Multiplayer' wheels are guaranteed to be the most accurate data compiled on the net, as I checked the backs of the boxes for every single game for the data, and if a game was missing data, I played the game and checked it myself. If you want a description of what this is, please check out 'Ultimate Sega Genesis.' Enjoy! 25. Ultimate Sega 32X View File I put a surprising amount of work into this, for as small as the actual game library is. But it's done, and worthy of the label 'Ultimate.' It's worth noting that this system has game themes for every single game, except Sangokushi IV. I wanted to include them somehow, but at the same time, I also liked my default theme quite a bit. So the way I handled it, and this involves some shenanigans and is complicated, is I made duplicate entries in the database, put a "1" in front of the game name, and disabled all of them. This is so that if you select a game from the "theme" wheel, the info like year, publisher, genre, etc. will still work with your RocketLauncher fades. What this means for you is, in order to have a functional "theme" wheel, you will need to copy all of your ROMs and put a 1 in front of the name. e.g., "NBA Jam Tournament Edition (World)" becomes "1NBA Jam Tournament Edition (World)". All of the media is already doubled up already as well, and I went ahead and included all the videos, so all you literally have to do is what I just described. In hindsight, it would have been more efficient to double up the game names as, e.g., "NBA Jam Tournament Edition (World) - copy", that way all you would have had to do was open up your ROMs directory, press control+A, control+C, control+V, and you'd be done. But whatever, it's done on my end already, and it won't hurt you to engage in some tediousness, I certainly have. After uploading everything I also decided that I hated the wheel for NBA Jam Tournament Edition (World). Note that is a separate upload. Just drag and drop it over your existing one if you like the new one better. This pack has full media for everything - box backs, fronts, 3D box, cartridge art, game wheel, publisher wheel, genre wheel, years, rating, and a few custom wheels, like 32X Exclusives, Two Players, and Multiplayer. Enjoy! Submitter SupraKarma Submitted 05/22/2017 Category System Default Themes HyperBase Version Media Dimensions File Count Credits
