2D NES Box Art and Wheels

    Version 1.0.0

    36 downloads

A collection of 976 2D box arts for NES. May contain some duplicates. Contains a high number of hard to find artwork for unlicensed games and prototypes. Also, a custom database that I am using to go with it, since many games are not in the official database - only 16 games are missing artwork, and 10 of those are prototypes. There are a handful of Famicom and FDS games in there. Use it or don't, I'm providing it as a convenience. I decided to go ahead and upload my wheels too, since I created several from scratch, and updated some from the FTP set that were incorrect. All games in the database have wheels at least.

    HyperSpin won't launch NES games

Greetings, I've run into an issue that I cannot seem to figure out. When launching a .NES game through retroarch (July 17 2016 build), there are no problems, the game launches fine. When I launch the game through rocketlauncher indicating to use retroarch as the emulator, again no problems. Through Hyperspin, I can select the Nintendo Entertainment System platform, be shown the list of existing games (no problems here so far) and after that, when I press enter on my keyboard, nothing happens. I suspect an AHK file issue but I cannot be sure. At first launch, I got an error message saying the nintendo entertainment system.ahk file did not exist, so i created one (copy actually from another ahk file present in the dir) and renamed to to exactly what it was looking for. My HyperHQ NES settings are exactly in line with all my other working emulators, paths and such through Hyperspin. please advise.

    Nintendo Famicom Cart Pack

Nintendo Famicom Cart Pack View File This pack contains 400 carts according to the latest development database for Nintendo Famicom, I did not create all carts, but only completed the ones that were missing, including some unlicensed, untranslated (now translated) and protos. There`s a separate file, Sanrio Carnival (Japan) (Translated En), it`s a fixed cart image, just replace it after extracting the main rar files. Note that Famicom carts have varied formats and shapes, the width and height of them are varied, so if you`re willing to use it, some sizing may be needed. As always, I`ll upload a full Nintendo Famicom pack in wide screen, with everything sized. Enjoy! 7. Nintendo Entertainment System [Main Menu] Original Retail Box (ORB) Style View File NES theme based on the original retail packaging of the console. Bringing the original box aesthetic back into Hyperspin really adds a layer of nostalgia to the experience. I use old commercials for the preview video but this works fine with gameplay vids too. 16. Nintendo Entertainment System - Complete System Pack View File This is the complete Nintendo Entertainment System default theme set. Includes: Default/System Theme, Box and Cart Art, Theme Settings and Database, all media converted for 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio. Does not include: Wheels, Videos, Roms. This pack contains Arcade, PSX or Xbox buttons to choose from. You can check in the screen-shots that these system themes keeps the video frame instead of reloading it every time you scroll through the games, it also shows the console or manufacturer logo while it waits for the videos to be displayed. These themes don't use Special arts, deactivate them in HyperHQ or just move or delete the special folder which contains special.swf files. HyperHQ Settings, copy these settings, it will make the theme look correct with these themes: Here you can disable special artwork that won't be used in these themes: Paste Nintendo Entertainment System.ini in the "Settings" folder, localized in the same directory where Hyperspin.exe resides. I only created themes, converted artwork to fit them and to be properly displayed in wide-screen displays, all credits for boxes and carts goes to their respective authors. 19. First off, Zac and I haven't been on the site in A LONG-ASS TIME! Looks great! Anyway, It looks like our HS-NES build thread went MIA in the website upgrades... so I figured I'd repost some stuff, and let you guys know that we're getting back into the HyperSpin game. Life's been crazy busy, and the both of us have gotten tied up in the whirlwind.. but we're now hoping to finally finish the HS-NES we started, and get back to the MK arcade project in the spring. That poor thing has been collecting dust in my garage Anyway, here's a little to get you up to speed on the HS-NES we started, and where we plan to go next with it. First thing’s first: We got a busted NES off of eBay along with a copy of TopGun. Parts List: – Intel NM10 Mini ITX Motherboard (dual core 1.8gHz Atom) – 4GB of Mushkin DDR3 1333 – nMediaPC Mini ITX DC to ATX power supply with DC Adapter – Wintec FileMate S Professional 8GB Compact Flash Card – SYBA SD-ADA40001 SATA II To Compact Flash Adapter – (2) NES RetroKits (one for each controller port) Software List: – HyperSpin Front End – Nestopia (for NES emulation) – VisualBoy Advance (for Gameboy / Gameboy Color emulation) We opened up the NES and tore it down to size up our computer components. Time to brainstorm our plan of attack!

    Nintendo NES 2D Cart Art

    Version 1.0

    1,042 downloads

Here is a collection of Nintendo NES cart art for the latest 1.2 database. 886 total. I could only find a template using the standard grey and gold cart style. If anyone has different cart style templates for NES games please upload and I will start over. For Camerica games I used the standard gold cart template even though those games didn't use the standard cart style, they were still gold. For all games I used real cart sticker scans, not a cropped version of the box art. I also included a template for those who want to add or redo certain carts. These will have to be resized to use in whatever system theme you are using, they are kind of big. Enjoy. I will also upload a 3D set of carts.

    Nintendo NES PC Build

Hello All, I know it has been done many times before, but I have an idea for an NES PC that I was planning on doing and wanted to get some feedback on. I have gutted my NES and I am waiting for my dremel to arrive. I will give updates as I go through the steps (right now taking pictures of a gutted NES seems silly). My idea is to have a PC inside a NES but to have the PC upside down and have the bottom of the NES be plexiglass, so that the work can be viewed simply by flipping it over. I also don't love just cutting out the T shape plastic and leaving the rest. Let me know if you have any thoughts on it. I have searched through many pages of builds and I have not seen that combo done. Is it doable and would there be any issues?
