This pack took more time that what I planned, but I am very happy with the final result! It has the entire USA set, plus PAL region locked games, plus Protos, plus Unreleased. The cart shapes, colors, and stickers are 100% accurate as the original games Thanks to @Yeuxkes for the SFC cart template I used as base for the PAL ones Enjoy! PS. Because of an issue there is when uploading files here related to its size, I had to split it into 9 parts (to not surpass the 100MB limit). This means that you will need all the parts downloaded before trying to extract the content from part 1. Once the issue is resolved I will reupload it in just one part or a couple. -

Contains Japanese versions for example "Super Mario 3 (Japan)" and all those coming to USA but in Japanese. It also includes "bootleg" Games like "Super Mario World (China)" but in version 8 bit. In total it 1778 games (Ver. 5.2). (To see all the videos in this genre, in addition to adding the videos of Famicom must be added all videos of the NES version, without renaming, as they take each of these as "clone"). All Game: Unlike "All Game Full" does not include clones or Japanese versions of USA. Priority is given to the "Translated En". It's the standard genre. In Total contains 886 games (Ver. 5.2). Nintendo Famicom: Same as "All Game", genre by default. Essential: Same as "All game" or "Nintendo Famicom" but only contains the games in English or translated into this, or games with a minimum of Japanese text perfectly playable. Do not inclue the "bootleg". It is the genre more similar to the official version. Contains 464 games (Ver. 5.2). Essential Special: Same as "Essential" but with the novelty that the description is renamed every game to English. for example "Akumajou Special - Boku Dracula-kun (Japan) (Translated En)" Renamed in the description "I'am Kid Dracula (Japan) (Translated En)" or "Chuuka Taisen (Japan) (Translated En)" as "Cloud Master (Japan) (Translated En)". Also incorporated some games that came to USA with another name, but in Japan are the originals. For example added "Gegege no Kitarou - Youkai Daimakyou (Japan) (Translated En)" That in the USA is "Ninja Kid (USA)", In the description will come out as "Spooky Kitaro - In the Yokai World (Japan) (Translated En)" In Total contains 471 games (Ver. 5.2). (Personally it's my favorite genre) -

Credit goes to Tonesmalone, chex, and Retro Goonie. Special thanks goes to Kondorito for already having box art for the entire database - that made my job a lot easier. Game names were not changed at all - if you were already using the development thread database, switching to this one should not break anything, and you will get the benefit of improved meta data. I have taken the development thread [Official] database, and done the following 1. Corrected errors in the <manufacturer> field. I am primarily concerned with the name reflecting what is written on the box - and I tried to be as accurate as possible. So if one game uses the typical 'Taito' logo, but another one uses 'Taito Corporation,' I entered the data accordingly. Sometimes there is no logo, and I had to use the small print on the back of a box or the cartridge. And some cases, I had to use the title screen. I tried to give respect to any situations where there were multiple names on the box. In that situation, I entered the data in the format of developer/publisher, or in some cases, developer 1/developer 2/publisher. 2. Re-added two games that were taken out of HyperList - Super Mario Bros (25 Anniversary Edition) (Japan) and Super Maruo (Japan) (Unl) (Translated En). Super Maruo has the enabled="0" feature activated, and if you want it in your collection, you will have to manually alter the database and either change it to enabled="1" or delete it, so that it it is the same as the other entries. It is not just an 'adult' game, it is also pornographic and vulgar. It should be in the list, simply because it exists - but it's also trash in every sense of the word. 3. Changed the Shufflepuck Cafe rating back to HSRS - GA. This game is harmless. There were rumors back in the Amiga days that the scantily clad female would flash you but they are bogus as far as I can tell. And I personally played the Famicom version - there's no nudity. 4. Added 4 new games. Downtown - Nekketsu Koushinkyoku - Soreyuke Daiundoukai (Japan) (Translated En) Gimmick! (Japan) (Translated En) USA Ice Hockey in FC (Japan) Venus Senki (Japan) (Translated En) USA Ice Hockey is not a translation obviously, but any Japanese game with 'USA' in the title fascinates me. I've included a genres.zip download, that includes custom manufacturer genres for every single developer/publisher, years, ratings (even though Super Maruo is the only 'Adult' game), and two custom genres - Translations, and Sports Complete. That about covers it. If you have any suggestions/improvements to offer, please visit the following thread: -

This is a small project I set out to do for my own personal library that I wanted to share with the community (hence the size). This came about from my frustration of not being able to find a lot of coverage for some of my favorite famicom games since understandably its nearly impossible to find decent images to work with. It contains a collection of japanese famicoms boxes as well as some custom western boxes, so I split them into two parts. The JAPAN BOX PACK contains 21 original and custom boxes. The USA BOX PACK contains 24 original and custom boxes. These box packs should be used for anyone who wishes to cover some of their famicom games or the Japanese translated versions of the Western games (e.g. Gun-Dec vs Vice: Project Doom) and wanted a separate box for each version. This is by no means meant to be a completely ACCURATE box pack, but a fun pack of sorts. Special thanks to Kondorito for going above and beyond helping me with this project. This site honestly has the best user support I've experienced. Feel free to comment or message me if you have any questions and whatnot, I might start a topic for this if I plan on taking this project further. Hope you guys enjoy. -

I wanted to make this set since a long time (not only because I loved how we ended up doing the SNES real 3d box pack with SupraKarma, but because currently there is no standing 3d box pack with real spines for the Nintendo 64). This set contains all the USA releases, plus the Europe region locked ones. The majority of the scans and spines were grabbed from Nintandbox.net (awesome site for printing real Nintendo game boxes), the rest were grabbed from ebay sales and other Google sites. When no proper images were found for spines, I had to make them from scratch. Because of the type of sources, the size of the boxes ended up enormous Huge thanks to @SupraKarma, @adamg and @wallmachine for the Nintandbox source scrapping; it was a tedious job, so I really appreciate your help on that. To everybody downloading this pack; bear in mind it is a "real" set; this means that the front and side covers are not pristine, pure B&W with perfect coloring. This set was made with real box scans; some are in better conditions than others. The idea of this is to have a set that could somehow tell a story, that you could relate to, and feel the boxes coming to life. I know it is not for everybody, but since I made it for me, I wanted to share it Enjoy!- 5 comments

Hey guys! For this set I reviewed all the current content in HS plus some other sites, as I wanted to be as faithful as possible to the original NES boxes, specially with the spines. The main stuff I am utilizing is from @slagram69 and from @Wally Wonka (Thank you guys for your amazing work!). I applied a custom 3d box template for this pack (similar to the Famicom one I did) for the Wally Wonka 2D covers set (and I removed the NES spine logos they all had), and another different template for slagram69's boxes, as those were already 3d, but I modified them to my own taste. In this pack you will find all the games that I have in my set, so expect licensed, unlicensed and protos. Cheers!- 9 comments

This project along the Famicom clear logos one were the most intensive ones I have ever done, but still, it was a pleasure to make as the NES has a very special place in my heart and each cart I made brought me awesome memories. The entire set is 100% accurate to the original games (you will have grey, gold, green, blue, red, special, prototypes, unreleased; all types of carts made from real photos). There are some variations I made for some carts (as some games had more than one release/version). These are located in the Extras folder and labeled with an ALT/ALT2 at the end of their filenames. Surf around as maybe you find an ALT version you like more than the original one. Be aware though that I did not put too much effort on the alternate versions, so you might find low res stickers in there. The total pack goes over 1,000 carts! A special Thank You goes to: @juniorunderground for some of the FHD stickers I worked with @Wally Wonka for the special carts base pack @Aorin for the legendary task of scavenging HQ images for the latest badge! I put all my love into its making, so I hope you like it PS. Because of an issue there is when uploading files here related to its size, I had to split it into several parts (to not surpass the 100MB limit). This means that you will need all the parts downloaded before trying to extract the content from part 1. Once the issue is resolved I will reupload it in just one part or a couple.- 2 comments

Huge thanks to @Dubbloseven and @jcm9800 for the original FDS pack they created, as I based this one from theirs. Specifics of this pack: There are a lot of games that were originally released without any artwork (just a disk sticker and transparent box, or even without any box). For those, I took the creative liberty of making the covers, and 6 of those were created by the user lobdale. I made two types of boxes according to their original art; regular (can see the disk from outside) and full size (covers the entire box). I have also made the boxes depending on the color of the disks (disks that were originally yellow, green, white or blue; if the case shows the disk, it will show the correct color). Comments, likes and constructive suggestions are always welcome! If you have a game that is not present in the set, let me know Enjoy the pack Kondorito- 13 comments

I did some work on this database a while go, and I had big plans - I was going to have a 'players' field, a 'developer' field, and all kinds of other stuff. But I've scrapped that, because HyperSpin in it's current state can't even utilize any of these fields. Instead, I've opted to create custom XMLs. At the moment, I have a 'Two Players' and 'Multiplayer' XML finished - and they are quite accurate, as I compiled the data directly from the backs of the boxes, that clearlly state how many players the game has. Please note that this is for *english games only*. I found the Japanese games too frustrating to navigate menus, and I don't like compiling data from 3rd party sources, so that's that. Otherwise, hyphens have been replaced with colons in the description field. The manufacturer field now accurately reflects the name of the publisher. It makes no sense to have the name of some obscure, uncredited developer as the name in the description, when we have nice box arts that clearly tell you who published the game. The publisher should be the standard for all console/handheld systems, at least in this version of HyperSpin. An alternative of course is to put both - developer/publisher - and that's always an option. But at the least, the publisher should always be there. Prior to my work, this database was very flawed in respect to the manufacturer field. Sometimes the developer was used, sometimes the publisher was used, sometimes the data was completely wrong. Special thanks goes to JSinn for having a complete set of box backs for me to use to compile the data for the two player and multiplayer XMLs. This is supposed to look like the Nintendo Vs. Unisystem arcade cabinet side art: I spent way too much time on this, and it didn't even turn out as good as I'd hoped, but meh. Here it is if you want it. I've included my .psd files (they're a mess) if anyone else wants to work on what I was.
