  1. I've finally gotten into a bit of PCLauncher game setup with the excellent Youtube video on how to get Taito Type X games going, and I can control the games just fine with my USB controller (Dualshock 4 running via Inputmapper.) My problem now though, is my beautiful Hori Real Arcade Pro 3...which I would -quite- prefer to use with these arcade titles...simply won't work in any actual games. I can configure the stick just fine..either in the control configs provided for the individual games or in Taito X Loader...but no matter how I launch the games I get nothing on that stick. I can't even set it up with Joy2Key, it simply doesn't work in-game. No clue what I'm missing here. The HRAP3 stick works, I've tested it in MAME and other gaming applications.
  2. Hi all, I am creating just one arcade wheel on my setup, with as many emulated arcade games as possible on it. To me this is preferable than having them split across seperate wheels for manaufatures and/or systems. Naturally MAME would be the base, and used wherever possible, and I was going to use Phulsoff's unofficial 0.168 database with mahjong and casino removed. I would need to update as each new mame version comes out - hopefully Phulsoff will continue his great work in providing XMLs. Below are some assumptions I have made with regards to the other Arcade Emulators and databases out there, please feel free to comment or correct me on them: My understanding is all the "classic" databases are just taken from MAME set, filtered by manufacturer, so can be disregarded? AAE games are all emulated in MAME, so no need to use this emulator or add games to database? Zinc and FB Alpha games are emulated in MAME, so no need to use these emulators or add any games to database? Neo Geo emulation is great in MAME so no need to use different emulator or add games database? Sega Model 2 emulation is not very good in MAME, so games should get added to database and model 2 emulator used? Sega Model 3 emulation does not work in MAME, so games should get added to database and supermodel emulator used? Laser Disc emulation does not work in MAME, so games should get added to database and daphne emulator used? Capcom Play System I,II&III are emulated in MAME so no need to use different emulator or add games to database? Cave games are emulated in MAME, so no need to use different emulator or add games to database? MAME only emulates some discrete games, so the Dice emulator should be used for any unsupported and those games added to database? Namco System 22 is emulated ok in MAME, so no need to use different emulator or add games to database? Sammy Atomiswave is not emulated in MAME, so Demul emulator should be used and games added to database? Sega Naomi is not emulated in MAME, so Demul emulator should be used and games added to database? Triforce hardware is not emulated in MAME, so triforce branch of Dolphin should be used and games added to database? Tatio Type X games are not emulated in MAME, so games should be added to database and setup to launch correctly? Anything I have missed? Apologies for all the questions, but I have always focussed on console emulation, and so arcade emulation I am not so familiar with (I was leaving it until I build a cabinet) but decided it be more fun to play the games sooner . Be cool to get some advice from people more experienced in this area, cheers...
  3. Land Maker (landmakr) MAME View File I've been wanting to make this theme for a long time! This is probably my favorite one that I've ever done. I'm getting used to the tricks of theme making now Submitter Mykillvee Submitted 02/14/2017 Category Themes (4:3) HyperBase Version Media Dimensions File Count Credits
  4. Taito Type X - Main Themes Pack - 16:9 View File This pack contains Arcade, PSX or Xbox buttons to choose from. This theme doesn't use Special arts, deactivate them in HyperHQ or just move or delete the special folder which contains special.swf files. 7. Dear HS members ;-) I've been googlen my *** off, checked out some videos on youtube and saw some people running HS with Bootcamp (so it's basically a windows 7 x64 version) and played PS2 with it. My question as someone who's just looking into HS and setting up his "arcade machine": Is the current mac mini along with it's graphics card capable of running Dreamcast, Wii PS2 and possibly Taito X2, CPS3, etc. lag free? Here's the current setup of the most recent mac mini. 2.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 8GB memory 1TB hard drive1 Intel Iris Graphics Furthermore, I have absolutely no idea what I need to run PS2 and that stuff smoothly. I've seen people going with those barebones for $300 and I've seen ppl telling others to get a high end PC for $1500 in order to get PS2 emulation or something similar smoothly. I just want something SILENT (as it would be in my living room) to run my games on. I'm mostly interested in Wii, PS2, Taito X, CPS3 and so on. I know that SNES and MAME, etc. don't need high end computers. But is the mac mini enough? Maybe someone of you is running that setup? Thanks in advance. :-) PS: If this wont be enough... maybe some advice on a mini or micro ITX board along with cpu and all that set up? I'd like to order something... since I'm in Europe, I'd like to have some links if possible. Thanks so much for the help. I thought of the Alienware X51 maybe? Looks good and fits perfectly into a living room.
