Hi everyone, my Hyperspin Setup works great with one xbox 360 Controller - thanks for so many advice from the hyperspin and hyperlaunch community. After a few months I start thinking of making my HTPC ready for 2-Player Games just because the good old Beat'em Ups needs player vs player sessions. First of all - it should not be as easy as it may read like with buying a seconds xbox360 wireless controller and setting it up in hyperlaunch via xpadder. there are many problems I couldn't solve yet. Hopefully the community has some more advice for me. I did read https://sites.google.com/site/hyperlaunch2/home/features/keymapper but this didn't helped me. Problem No1: how can I set up the controller to assign that Controller 1 is always and the other would always be controller 2. the newer controller always get the First Controller Spot while I am booting up system - and I have no idea why or how to chance it No2: I understand that one controller spot is number 1, then there are 4 controller spots for the mayflash dolphin bar and then the Spot 6 is for the second controller. In those case I have to configure in xpadder a p1 (= controller 1) and a p6 (= controller 2) profile, haven't I? Hyperlaunch only load one profile in xpadder and leave the other one (controller 1) blank. I could not find any yt videos or other threads here... that helped in those case of problems. how did you guys set up two xbox 360 controllers on your hyperspins????
So I'm getting a few systems setup and before I get too far want to make sure I'm using the best emulator for my preferred controllers and need advice on purchase & setup. My aim is to have both my X-Arcade (2 player) and 2 x wireless controllers working. MAME I would like to use my X-Arcade for most MAME games, however I also want to be able to use 2 wireless controllers for some MAME games. CONSOLES All I want is 2 x wireless controllers that are easy to setup (good compatibility) with RetroArch and ideally Project64. I also own a couple of PS3 controllers and years ago played around with a driver "MotionInJoy" or something (worked with straight emus like ZSNES but don't imagine would be HS friendly). I'm open to buying a couple of XBox 360 Wireless controllers (for Windows) as from what I've read they are easier to setup and seem to be RetroArch and HS friendly. It looks like I need 2 x "XBox 360 Wireless Controller (for Windows)"... but I'm finding varying product codes and a wide pricing range... http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-au/p/xbox-360-wireless-controller-for-windows https://ebgames.com.au/pc-153574-Xbox-360-Wireless-Controller-for-Windows-PC http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=951&products_id=16958 The last link is an online retailer I have bought from before (good pricing) and seems too cheap compared to other pages... but says "Includes a wireless receiver". This is $AU (Australia) for reference. Is this what I'm after? I'm looking for advice on controller choice and any software or settings (HS / RetroArch / PJ64, etc) I might need to run both X-Arcade and console controllers for the same system (eg. MAME). I've read older posts about XPadder, not sure if this is still relevant. FYI - I'm running a recent clean install of RocketLauncher, HyperSpin 1.4 Beta 015 and latest versions of RetroArch and Project64 (MAME is still 0.161 until I figure out where 0.162 and MESS fit in). Thanks
Hi All, Just wanted to share with you my last project; my home made arcade cabinet that plays HyperSpin and Xbox360. You Can even add the PS3 (if I had one). Because the components I've used are from the 3 in 1 Arcade stick Pro. It took me about a month to build this one from scratch with no plan only the one that I had in my head . I’ve uploaded 3 videos. In the first one you can see the arcade machine how it looks and acts with HyperSpin. In the second video we’ll take a quick look to the back of the machine. And in the third and last video I’m showing you that the controls also actually work on the XBOX360. NOTE I do not have to plug the controls from HyperSpin to the XBOX, because they are already connected with a split USB cable that goes to the pc and the XBOX Let me know in the comments what you think about it and give me a heads up if you want a video about a specific part of the cabinet or a “how to “. Enjoy! PS The cabinet will get a Trackball in the empty space between the joysticks in the very near future . I actually do have a question about this I was thinking to get something like Apple’s Magic Trackpad instead of a Trackball to play games like “House of the dead” that I play normally with the mouse. Anyone got an idea if this actually could work out and is a smart/dumb idea? Here are the video's: TsTmx-rBNdQ WPiwLYEkH5Y 8Woh1hJNfUM
