Main Menu Sound stuck in a constant update process

The main menu and sound effects are not working even though they are installed in the folder and HyperHQ says that it needs updating. I press the update button and go to another screen in HyperHQ and then go back and it says update again and never applies. I have had this problem before in past updates but it went away and now its back again. I will add that the wheel sounds will work occasionally but most of the time they do not.
