Tristeele Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Hi everyone / anyone reading, I am pulling my hair out on this one. I have two wireless xbox 360 controllers and for the life of me I can't get them both working with RetroArch. Is anyone else having this issue? I have used multiple versions with varying levels of success but never gotten both working. Last night I was able to get a single controller to work inside a few cores but never the second. That was the latest stable release. Today I tried a nightly build and Retroarch sees them, but does not allow me to change any controls. I can EVEN use the damn menu within retroarch with a controller, but not set controls?!?! Xinput has been selected in drivers. Both controller recognized. Anyway - anyone else have this issue?
Tristeele Posted November 5, 2015 Author Posted November 5, 2015 No one else has experienced this issue?
mobly100 Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Try this: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/7325-has-anyone-found-a-fix-for-two-wireless-xbox-controllers-on-retroarch-betanightly/ Or this: https://www.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/3at7up/problem_getting_2_wireless_xbox_360_controllers/ I had the same issue a while back and I opted for separate emulators. Let me know if either one works so I can switch back to retroarch. Thanks
Tristeele Posted November 8, 2015 Author Posted November 8, 2015 Thanks for responding. Yes, I had already read those posts. No real luck. I did however try something that DID work. I tried using 1 wireless x360 controller and then 1 wired..... Well, it worked with no issues. Both controllers all of the sudden had no issues. So I went into the config of the Core (in this case SNES) and noticed that the wired player two controller was device 5. So I removed it, turned on my second wireless controller and all of the sudden it worked!? Now all my cores (about 5 so far) are working with both wireless controllers. I don't know why, but I'm happy they seem to be working. As I do more cores I will let you know. Thanks again for replying.
mobly100 Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 hmmm, maybe I will try that when I have a chance. Thanks
