Hyperspin 1.4 in menu controller problem

Hi,

 

I bought this arcade stick: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/arcade-joystick-pc-computer-game-usb-connector-King-of-fighters-Joystick-Consoles-usb-Stationary-Double-Consoles/32435227455.html which works great in Mame. I can set the controls correctly in HyperspinHQ and it recognizes the stick as analog stick (which it probably isn't). However when I start Hyperspin i cannot use the stick to navigate in the menu, only the buttons.

 

Help would be very much appreciated
