Possible unusual problem?

Hey Hyperspin folks,

I have what I think is an unusual problem, although it probably isn't.

I've got all my roms, emulators and databases setup through the HyperHQ, RocketLauncherUI, verified that both roms and emulator paths are valid and functional. Recently subscribed to get the HyperSync access, which went fantastic and saves a ton of trouble making the whole UI look awesome. Problem that I'm running into is, after I run HyperSync and update the databases, the roms no longer play. It says the rom path is no longer valid. I go back and double check the RocketLauncherUI, HyperHQ and it doesn't appear as though anything has changed, but I'm unable to play any roms. Just to confirm, I try to access the roms and validate them through RocketLauncherUI, and they can no longer be found. To fix this, I have to delete the rom path, scan the new database and all rom paths are now valid and play again. Which would be fantastic, but once this happens -- the art, videos, backgrounds and wheel animations are no longer there. I'm guessing this has something to do with an XML or a settings change somewhere, I'm just not sure where. I've got a bunch of screenshots if needed, but I'm hoping this has happened to someone before or someone who is well versed in both RocketLauncher,Hyperspin and HyperSync --- would be able to provide some insight.

Thanks!

Hey mate, I'm no expert myself but sounds to me like the xml database for the roms doesn't match the artwork you have. 2 options come to mind, either back up your roms and then download both the newest rom xml and the Dons hyperspin tools and use the program to rename your roms to the downloaded xml (should also be able to get this xml by running hypersync and telling it to update the database for the system, it should overwrite your existing xml databse). Once renamed it should match them up again.

Or option 2 go on youtube and look up Simply Austin videos, he provides his setup and all artwork and themes etc except videos, the links are in the video descriptions.

Hope this helps a little
