Retroarch blanks screen (seemingly locks up?) when it goes fullscreen

Hello everyone,

This is my first ever post in the forum, so please go easy on me. I am following Austins youtube videos and installed RetroArch. When I try to run his packaged version, my screen goes blank but the sound is still running from the youtube video. I downloaded the latest version of Retroarch (I'm running WIN 10) and can run it just fine. The problem comes when it tries to go full screen. It goes all blank and does nothing... Any suggestions?

UPDATE: When I set my monitor to extend (to my TV) it works? Not sure why... This is a big hassle though as I would want it on duplicate... when it's on duplicate it screws up.

Well, not sure if anybody is interested, or has the same problems I did. I have now just setup separate emulators for all my systems. This way I am still able to duplicate my screens. Not sure why the issue with RetroArch... must be a resolution problem, but unfortunately I could not figure it out. If anyone has a better solution, please share!

Hi Quinn am super new to the forum but just wanted to give you my two cents as I just resolved a similar problem. When you have sound but no picture in my experience its can be either an issue with the bios file or issue with shader configuration that is being applied. Try changing\playing with the shader options in Retroarch (click on F1 i believe,  when you have the rom running and just hearing the sound to see the options). Hope this helps if not hopefully someone with more experience can give you better advice.
