Transferring a HDD between computers with hyperspin?

Hey guys. Thank you for all the help. Ive been a lurker for a long time but finally now seeking help on some things. I set out on a mission of creating a clean, and perfect setup of hyperspin for myself. I got a brand new separate drive dedicated just for hyperspin. I have everything working as id like to, but heres my problem. I set out with the intention of making a nearly finished drive for hyperspin, to be able to copy it over to other cabinets that i build or for friends. So the drive im using is set to "M" letter. My thinking was i could always just plug this drive into a new computer, and since hyperspin and all the directories would still be the same after changing the drive to "M" on the new computer, id be able to just use it. This seemed to work fine on 2 pcs. one being actually an older windows 7 PC.. the other on a newer pc build with windows 8.1. Everything works and boots fine. But the other day i tried to plug it into a friends pc, and boot it up, and i kept getting a "cannot find mame.ahk" error, with the same error for other emulators. So, my broad question to start with is this. When you have a dedicated drive with hyperspin and all properly installed, what general problems do people encounter when using it in a portable fashion? What would cause it to not find mame.ahk, when all directories are the same, and i was able to use it on multiple pcs. Im just trying to find the best way to build a system that i can carry over to other projects and builds. trying to bullet proof the process as much as possible. If i build a new cabinet tomorow, i want to be able to simply drop a new pc and hdd in there and be good to go. What am i missing on that pc that wont find mame.ahk and other emulators

The anti virus MAY be the issue as it seemed to have flagged another program as problematic. As for games and such, I certainly don't have any pc games or complex emulators. retroarch mess and mame is basically it. I'm going to look into the antivirus things as someone suggested that as another programs problem.
