ShaunB1980 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Hello,I hate to start a new post about this afte reading so many people with similar issues. I did the most troubleshooting I could do on my own and it really helped me learn how to navigate HS and how it works. I even tried unzipping and it did the same thing.I am still relatively new to HS and expecially new to the Android setups that I am workingon.Hyperspin 1.4Retroarch 1.3.0cores/bsnes_mercury_performance_libretro_android.soI would post the log but I cannot find on Android where the logs if any are saved. For this particular situation I will use Final Fight (USA).zip as my examlpe, Final Fight 2 (USA) and Final Fight 3 (USA) both play but when I select Final Fight (USA) from the Hyperspin wheel it goes to a black screen for a second then backs out to the wheel screen. As I stated above this ROM has no issues when I load it manually through Retroarch. I have a handful of other games that are functioning like this as well, Mortal Kombats for example. I have checked and checked and discount double checked the XML and name of ROMs, all the artwork downloaded successfully through HyperSync as well. I have read this is the first place to look and it is really stumping me that I either have fried my brain from putting in so many hours on this or I am just missing something. Can someone please help me make the connection here. Thanks, <menu> <header> <listname>Super Nintendo Entertainment System</listname> <listversion>1.2</listversion> <lastlistupdate>2/7/2016</lastlistupdate> <exporterversion>HyperTools 4.3.25</exporterversion> </header> <game name="Final Fight (USA)" index="" image=""> <description>Final Fight (USA)</description> <cloneof></cloneof> <crc>4cab21db</crc> <manufacturer>Capcom</manufacturer> <year>1991</year> <genre>Fighter</genre> <rating>Other - NR (Not Rated)</rating> <enabled>Yes</enabled> </game> <game name="Final Fight 2 (USA)" index="" image=""> <description>Final Fight 2 (USA)</description> <cloneof></cloneof> <crc>8c37ff55</crc> <manufacturer>Capcom</manufacturer> <year>1993</year> <genre>Fighter</genre> <rating>Other - NR (Not Rated)</rating> <enabled>Yes</enabled> </game> <game name="Final Fight 3 (USA)" index="" image=""> <description>Final Fight 3 (USA)</description> <cloneof></cloneof> <crc>a916e708</crc> <manufacturer>Capcom</manufacturer> <year>1995</year> <genre>Fighter</genre> <rating>Other - NR (Not Rated)</rating> <enabled>Yes</enabled> </game> <game name="Mortal Kombat (USA)" index="" image=""> <description>Mortal Kombat (USA)</description> <cloneof></cloneof> <crc>def42945</crc> <manufacturer>Acclaim</manufacturer> <year>1993</year> <genre>Fighter</genre> <rating>Other - NR (Not Rated)</rating> <enabled>Yes</enabled> </game> <game name="Mortal Kombat 3 (USA)" index="" image=""> <description>Mortal Kombat 3 (USA)</description> <cloneof></cloneof> <crc>4e6af725</crc> <manufacturer>Williams</manufacturer> <year>1995</year> <genre>Fighter</genre> <rating>Other - NR (Not Rated)</rating> <enabled>Yes</enabled> </game> <game name="Mortal Kombat II (USA)" index="" image=""> <description>Mortal Kombat II (USA)</description> <cloneof></cloneof> <crc>70bb5513</crc> <manufacturer>Acclaim</manufacturer> <year>1994</year> <genre>Fighter</genre> <rating>Other - NR (Not Rated)</rating> <enabled>Yes</enabled> </game> </menu>
ShaunB1980 Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 You may want to post in the Android section of the forums here, they could probably help you find the log which would probably point you in the right direction. I haven't messed with Android HS at all, but if it plays outside of HS and not inside it's usually a naming issue (especially the name inside of zip/7z archive). Yea I wasnt sure if I should post there or here, I assumed this was a naming issue but I just dont see it. The XML and the ROM have the same name, even copy and pasted to make sure. All the images and videos are named correctly. HS doesnt give the pop up messaging saying ROM is missing when trying to launch. I am just really stumped.
