Anonymous Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Guy`s, I had this error a week a go with Saturn (SFF) and managed to sort the issue as suggested by agent47 & spawk by making sure 7z was enabled in RLUI and in SFF module (Global) settings CDRom drive was set too 0, 1 or 2. My mates got the same issue and ive tried all the fixes that corrected mine But im still getting the error? Does anyone have any other ideas \ fixes that I could try. Cheers.
Avar Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Aye what it sounds like is that 7z is either set to true in Global Settings but false in the system settings, or that it's not set to true in the Global settings and default/true in the system settings.
Anonymous Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 Hi Guy`s, Sorry for the long delays on this one I've been working away. For some reason I cannot attached a RL log so here it is attached in a word doc. any help would be great cheers guys. RLLOG.docx
Anonymous Posted April 27, 2016 Author Posted April 27, 2016 Not having 7z enabled set to true is the only thing that I've ever seen cause this. If you have a zipped rom and 7z is set to false it will just send DT the zipped rom, resulting in this error. But having 7z set to true unzips the zip and passes DT the cue/ccd/iso or whatever image file. If 7z enabled is indeed set to true for that system on the Settings -> Main Settings tab I'm not sure what else could be causing it. I would double check that first (even if you already have, just to be sure) and if it's set correctly post an RL log set to Troubleshooting in code tags or attached so we can see what else could be causing it. Aye what it sounds like is that 7z is either set to true in Global Settings but false in the system settings, or that it's not set to true in the Global settings and default/true in the system settings. Agent47, AVAR I've attached the log and added screen shots of my global and local system settings. it would be nice if anyone could provide a screen shot of their settings for SFF so I can compare. Cheers guys.
Avar Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Sorry didn't see your earlier reply. If you go into his compressed game files, what do you see? Bin/Cue files? Or another zip file? Kinda sounds like his games are double-zipped or something like that. Personally I leave all of my Sega Saturn games uncompressed in the rom folder and turn 7z off for the system so my settings aren't relevant to the issue at hand. That's always an option though. Is there anything different about his system compared to yours?
Anonymous Posted May 3, 2016 Author Posted May 3, 2016 Avar, Thanks for getting back I managed to find out the issue in the end. In settings the CD \ DVD drive needed to be set to 2? Where mines set to 0 very odd. but its working now. thanks for all your input. Kev.
