Game info (company, year, # of players/etc) not displaying properly in the text field. Instead I get just the rom prefix.

When browsing games in the Mame "All Games" and "Favorites" list.  The text field will only give me the rom prefix, not the actual game info like name, company, date, # of players.  HOWEVER if I switch the genre it will properly display the info.

I've searched all over the place and for the life of me I can't figure this one out.  I feel like I'm totally overlooking something simple and I was wondering if anyone could help me fix this.

I've got my games working, I've even got hitotext working great (this was also a simple little thing I was doing wrong -- didn't have the Highscore set to on in HyperHQ's tools)

In case you haven't already figured it out I'm pretty new to Hyperspin, however I did mess around with it off and on for a couple years but didnt ever really dedicate to the learning curve like I have now.  I just felt as though I've done all I could do with Mala and I still wanted more, so here I am!

Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm really stumped on this one!

Downloaded the Mame XML from the databases section.  Wow it was something simple.  Funny how I figured this out a few minutes after my original post.  Ah well...   For future reference if anyone else has the same issue, its here now.

Where did you get your database? and if you go to your databases folder and open the xml for the system in question, are those fields empty? It sounds like it's not an official database if the genres contain the proper information but the main one doesn't.

I *think* it was because I recreated the database in Rocketlauncher when I set the rompath etc.  Silly problem I created for myself I think.
