Lost in XML and those Dang movies

When I Audited my games they show up red not green and says "No" in the found column. I can play these games in fusion with no issues. So I semi figured it out. In order get the games to be recognized by Hyperspin I had to go into rocket launcherUI in the emulators tab and select "Generate Database based on rom paths and default emulator file extensions". This got the games working. HOWEVER, (Sorry Caps) it won't allow the video snipets I DL'd from EmuMovies to play. I copied the XML file that came with the movies over to the database folder in Hyperspin. That gave me the little preview movies but the games could no longer be found. I generated the database again and the games work but no movies. I tried merging the system generated with the emu movies provided with Don's tools with no luck. Is there another way to have my cake and eat it too?

 

On a side note when I do get the games to play they squish up in the left corner of my screen, playable but I have a 24in 1920x1080 monitor. If I go into retorarch manually it plays full screen no problem. Ive tired paying in both Rocket launcher and HyperHq with no luck. Thanks again.

All file names have to match exactly based on the database you are using for them to work in Hyperspin.

 

That means:

 

Roms

Videos

Box Art

Cartridge art

Wheel art

 

have to match the XML database for that system.

 

I recommend using official databases instead of generating your own as the official artwork/videos will already match and there are numerous websites out there with prepacked romsets which already have matching names to official databases.

Thanks for the help. Some of the roms didnt rename or couldn't be matched but that is fine. In the grand scheme everything works. I'm still dealing with the resolution/half screen issue though.
