Laptop Svideo to jamma arcade screen ?

Hi ,i have the opportunity to buy a video wizard jamma arcade and have a spare older laptop with ATI mobility graphics build in,it has vga and svideo outputs

on the back of the laptop and the laptop can run anything from mame,n64,psx and saturn so i could use it as a side project along with my media centre build

of hyperspin.

Should i use the laptop display,or a vga pc monitor or use the arcade screen that is fully working with no problems ? and what would be the best hook up

from the laptop to the arcade screen, svideo or vga + converter ,also what converter would i be looking for as i have no idea

Also ,this is a picture of the cab but i really don't like the flat down screen orientation and much prefer the screen upright but i don't

think this jamma arcade is like the old one i used to have that you could lift out and rotate vert/horz ,do you think it would be easy to

mod this display to an upright one ?

What do you call this type of cabinet where the display is inset in the flat orientation ?

On further inspection of the laptop i can see that i was wrong in saying it had a vga port,it's a dvi port, also i have been hunting through google for into on arcade screen to svideo or to dvi but

i just can't find much of anything on the subject,i have also learned that the cab i am interested in has a game board inside (an army game) that sounds like ikari warriors but the lady doesn't know

anything else about it apart from that everything works including the coin mech and she still has the keys for it,but i also found out that the screen and glass overlay is 27in square and can be

rotated vert/horz so this is good as i thought it looked like a vert shooter only orientation.

I am close to buying this but i have spoke to a very nice chap who sells barebones cabs and he offered me a cab with controls, lcd screen fitted and ipak or what ever it's called for controls to hook

up via usb for a similar price but then there would be a courier add on to the price,i just don't know if this cab i was going to buy will give me problems with display converter and controls

in cost and hassle.
