Daphne Dragon's Lair LED Scoreboard trouble through Hyperspin - Help!

I have the aftermarket LED scoreboard for Dragons Lair hooked up through the LPT1 port.   If I launch Dragon's Lair directly through

Daphne it works perfectly,   But If I launch Dragon's Lair through Hyperspin it does not work at all?   Make no sense to me,  and 

I cannot find any info anywhere to fix the problem.   Please Help If you know,

Not sure if the overlay is a problem like I said it works perfectly through Daphne directly,   Its when Hyperspin launches Daphne its like the communication from the LPT1 port to the scoreboard gets cut off for some reason
