RetroArch - how to save ystem shade settings

Not sure what I do or don't know about RetroArch, but I am trying to save a new setting for the shader used in my NES games.

I followed Simply Austins tutorial, but he likes things to look retro with major scanlines like an old school CRT.

I like things looking crisp and clean for my 65 inch LCD screen.

How do I set the shaders and save the system setup to start each game without these junked up scanline filters Simply Austin likes.

Right now, I will change the way the game looks, try to save the config, but the game loads each time with the scanline filter.

What do I do to set this so the cleaner look comes up instead of the scanline look?

Do you have the RetroArch setting 'Save config on exit' enabled?

Thanks...Looking for that setting, I cannot find it.  Is it named something else?

I am starting a game in Hyperspin using RetroArch, then pressing F1 to go into the setup.

There is no 'Save config on exit' selection that I can find.

I am using my keyboard right now, and before I go into F1 I use the 'M' and '<' keys to scroll through the different available slots.

I like sot 28, which makes the screen look great with my monitor.

RRRrrrrr, I just want to save this setup so that it overwrites these dang scanlines that have been set by Austin?

I know there is a way, only I don't know it yet.

I found under 'General Options' the selection for 'Configuration Save on Exit'.

How do I use this to save the settings I have for the next time I load this system?

I started RetroArch, set the way I like it to look, set save on exit to 'YES', then I resumed content, then I Quit RestroArch, then I re-started RetroArch, but the same scanline settings are set.

It's there dude - Settings -> Configuration -> Save settings on exit.

This is a great resource for RetroArch

Have a read of the link in the previous post.  It's your starting point.

Thanks, that helped me figure out how to Load different Shaders, then Apply them, then once I found a good one, I saved the config by setting the 'Config Save on Exit', exited RetroArch, then re-started.

I made sure the settings were kept, then I turned the 'Config sve on exit' OFF.

Everything seems good for now, thank you...and I now know how to play with the Shaders.

Happy days - glad I could help.

The RetroArch Wiki on GitHub is a great resource - everything is documented.
