Only Audio Clips, No Video on Wheel

I know this is one old question but I am still needing assistance from you kind folks.

 

Here's the rundown:

1) Building my first MAME cabinet.

2) Got HyperSpin 1.4 running great. Love the way the program operates and looks. It's all I've wanted in a front end.

3) Downloaded Video Clips from PleasureDome. They are in .mp4 format and are in my Media/MAME folder.

4) Upon startup and cycling through games only the audio previews play.

5) I've installed all the codecs I've seen referenced on other threads.

6) I've checked to see if these videos work in Windows Media Player... They do. Surely, if Windows Media Player can play these videos... Mame can too. Right?

That's odd agent47.....I use mp4s and they work fine....

Are your mp4s named correctly?..... That will cause them not to play

You're right - HS does support .mp4, however it's worth noting that mp4 is a container format basically meaning that the video and audio inside of the mp4 could be encoded differently on different mp4 files.

 

HS is wanting the audio and video streams inside of the mp4 container to be encoded in a particular way - the videos from PD aren't matching with that.

The antipiso vids are also native res (small and all different sizes) even if you re encode they are gonna play havoc with the themes
