frysauce Posted October 11, 2016 Posted October 11, 2016 Hi, I'm new to the website and just having a hard time finding my way around. I went through Simply Austin's tutorials on youtube, which turned me onto Hyperspin. It's really an awesome front end. I started setting up a cabinet with a crt monitor, which is 4:3 aspect ratio and all the themes I downloaded from Austin's tutorials are in 16:9 ratio, but I really like them. I joined this website to see what was available and I can't seem to find many system themes or main menu themes. For example, I can't find 1 NES theme in 4:3, which I thought was the normal aspect ratio Hyperspin is based on and thought there would be lots. I must just not know how to get around this website. I tried the search function and find some forums with people talking about the theme, but nowhere to download it. Some have links that don't work. Also, the download section for 4:3 themes is full of 16:9 themes. Am I missing something? Can someone point me in the right direction? Do I need to purchase a subscription to download themes? I ended up making a theme myself, since it seemed to be faster than finding one! I'd be glad to share it, but I don't know where to upload it either. I think some people would like it. I just don't have time to do all the system themes and was hoping there would be some out here. Also, not being able to change the image sizes within hypertheme is killer... I'd love to make a bunch and share them, but it's just too time consuming the way it is now. Maybe that's a topic for another thread. Anyway, I appreciate some help pointing me in the right direction. Thanks!!
frysauce Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 Thank you! I was getting confused about Main Menu themes and System Default themes... it takes some getting use to, but I got it now.
