white screen while playing daphne and other emulators in hyperspin but not mess emulatorsin hyperspin

My daphne plays perfectly on my computer when I use the daphne loader.  My system worked perfectly for several years before my problem has developed.  My setup has 2 independent versions of mame and hyperspin on it.  about a month ago I added a startup sound and also added klite media player codex.  I never noticed until recently when I wanted to play cobra command that when I entered into it from hyperspin that I would get a white screen.  the game will play blind but the screen is totally white.  playing another setup with different programs and data files gives the same results.  the game plays perfectly outside of hyperspin.  What could I have done wrong or fix my problem?

I have noticed the white screen flash when the computer starts up after the startup screen but before the shell screen.  the white screen seems to be on a few more emulators I checked like dreamcast and sega 32 and probably a few others. wondering if I screwed up how certain graphic modes are displayed.  future pinball and mame look good and also 2600

I use hyperlaunch 2.  I do not want to update since I use analog joysticks and have customized the the files to load joy to key and remove it at certain times and it tokk a long time for me to do it and I barely understood what I was doing at the time

 

I got sick and tired of the problem and put the factory restore disk in.  Booted from cd rom all drivers were loaded and then it said was starting windows to install and the screen went white.  Since the drivers were factory fresh off the install disk I think my problem is not software based but maybe missing some modes in the hardware. will remove card and use onboard video

found the problem.  the act labs light guns were not passing all video modes through to the monitor.  when removed the game worked again
