how do I get hyperspin to load a certain mame.ini file?

Hello everyone,   I'm running Hyperspin with RL and its fantastic.
I have a small problem.  When I play games by running mame through
c:\mame\mameui64.exe      it automatically loads the mame.ini  from c:\mame\ini\mame.ini 
My mame.ini file includes is an amazing filter (created by someone else) which makes the screen look 
like a CRT with scanlines, RGB colors and it looks really oldschool =) 

Hyperspin on the other hand overrules the mame.ini file and completely bypasses it.  I know it uses
c:\hyperspin\settings\mame.ini  

My question:  is there someway I can force Hyperspin to use the all the settings from c:\mame\ini\mame.ini ?

I have tried overwritting the hyperspin mame.ini file with the one I want enabled but that did not work
