Trouble with Hyperspin start button looping back to emulator

Have Hyperspin set up on my external hard drive and it works perfectly on most of my computers. I have the 1 key set as start. On most computers on the emulator wheel screen if i hit 1 it advances into the roms for the emulator.  Hit 1 again and it started the game.

Then I move my hard drive to the computer I am using for my arcade box Hyperspin starts and runs but when I hit the 1 button it acts as if it is selecting the emulator but then goes back the the emulator choice wheel. It won't advance past the emulator choice wheel. I have it moved it around to other computer and it works fine. Just won't work on my arcade box. All of the computers I am testing on are running Windows 10 and there is only the arcade box it won't advance into the Rom choice.  What am I missing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is what I was hoping for at first.  On the different computers I experimented on it came up as different letters and worked on each one.  When I placed in on my arcade computer it came up as the same letter as one of my test computers and still looped back to the emulator wheel.  Sadly when I set this all up originally HS 1.2 was what I used.  I am starting to think a higher power is telling me it is time to upgrade.
