signumc240
Hello Guys, I am currently in the process of building my dream arcade, and would first like to thank everyone that worked on this great program. I recently ran into an issue where I had Hyperspin working perfectly on my windows 8.1 machine. I decided to bring the external drive downstairs and hooked it up to my windows 10 laptop, everything worked seamlessly I was Cleaning up my mame roms when I decided to check how the wheel looked in Hyperspin. When I open hyperspin I can press the start button on the xbox controller and it enters the main wheel. after that it completely stops working. I replaced the settings.ini file and that did not work. I checked the logs and I get this: Error intializing joysticks. Is there a compatibility issue with the xbox controller, hyperspin and windows 10? has anyone else experienced this? and if so how did you get it to work? the xbox controller has all the proper drivers and this works flawlessly on windows 8.1 Thanks! log.txt
AtariSoul
Hello signumc240 I have exactly the same set up as you and I too experience the same with the 360 controller. I press start at the HS intro and then nothing works on the controller. In my log.txt I also get "Error intializing joysticks", in fact your logs are identical Did you find a solution? Thanks
bacchuspup
I have the same issue (I just posted on it without realizing you had already asked the question). In my case, I had it working fine on a previous computer that was running Windows 10. It's only on the new computer that I have the issue.
signumc240
I had to reformat the computer to Windows 8.1, it won't work with Windows 10.
AtariSoul
Thanks for your replies. I found a solution. This seems to work great. Just run it, edit INI, add exe to startup.
