Hyperspin/RL save issue with Retroarch's Mednafen Sega Saturn core

I've finally hit a wall with my Saturn setup. I'm using Retroarch with the Mednafen core. While my games boot via the emulator itself and Hyperspin, saving does not seem to work with my zipped games. If I open them via the emulator unzipped it creates the proper files (saves to the ROM directory), however it doesn't generate a save when saved through the zipped game via Hyperspin. When attempting to adjust the Saturn module settings via RocketLauncher when tied to RetroArch leads to this prompt appearing: "Sega Saturn doesn't support specific settings on this module, you'll have to use global ones". Going to Global and editing the System Specific module only listed Atari Lynx, MAME, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Entertainment System, and Sony Playstation. Viewing the Global Module settings I did not see any tabs or boxes for saving, saves, or specific config for them. Opening RetroArch and viewing the Core settings states it has no settings to change lol I am quite stumped. Appreciate all the help regardless!

P.S I Also cannot stop the bios clock on startup for every game. Including those I've played before. I'm assuming this has something to do with the saves? :unknown:

Sorry for double posting, but does everyone just use SSF then? I find that really hard to believe since Mednafen's core runs most games better.
