Textfield info not showing full description

This has likely been answered already, but I'm apparently not using the right words in the forum search box.

I am making rom revision collections in MAME, and I want the description to show the full information without hiding text.  I have Remove Textfield Info unchecked, yet it still only shows the game title.

From MAME.ini:

All the roms are showing as they should, but the game info field only shows Mortal Kombat II without the extra parentheses stuff.  It is as if the tickbox for Remove Textfield Info is being ignored, or persistently checked.
