The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Had 95 systems listed in Hyperspin, now I have 58.

I was working on my setup last night. Making changes, adding systems and other misc configuration work.
When I exited RocketLauncher and went back in I am now only showing 58 out of the 95 systems that I originally had as emulated systems.

My question is what happened? Did I delete a file? Is my database corrupt?

I don't recall actually deleting any files but I did make some emulator changes in HyperHQ, for a lot of my setup I had to change the path to where the emulators point too. They were listed wrong in HyperHQ.

The other thing I have noticed besides having half of my emulated systems being deleted is my hyperspin wheel is set to a background called "Free Play" and not the original which was there before the deletion of the emulated systems. Does anyone know how to fix this? I am also missing my search function that was there before all this happened.

I have a backup of the main hyperspin/rocketlauncher files but I would have to go back and rebuild three weeks of work. I have spent a lot of time adding controllers, fixing ini files and solving emulator crashing issues to start over from scratch. I would rather not do this but can if a solution cannot be found. I am hoping it is just a single file I need to rebuild to fix my setup and make everything work again. It sounds like a database issue but I am new to this setup and I'm not sure what files to check for the issue I am having. Since I have a backup but it is older, it might be possible for me to replace the file and just make a few changes to get my setup back up and running.

Thanks for any help.

I am running this setup on the latest build of Win 10 off a 4TB external HDD 3 weeks old and purchased off amazon.com

I fixed this issue above by rebuilding the Main Menu.xml file located in Databases/Main Menu folder in case anyone else has this problem. There was a backup copy of the xml file and I just copied the settings out of the one and pasted into the other, problem solved. After I did this I got all my systems back except a few newer ones and the hyperspin wheel menu has returned to a more normal state than before. I'm not sure what wiped this file but glad their was a backup to copy from..........

I am having another issue. Hyperspin is showing the wrong region for my systems. For example the Sega Genesis is showing on the wheel as Mega Drive. Anyone know how to change this so they show correctly for your region? I'm in the US and I know what the Mega Drive is but I would rather see Sega Genesis.

Some other systems are also showing wrong and I'd like to change those as well including:

MAME shows as Arcade Classics and I just want MAME

Sega CD shows as MEGA CD

I would think this should be a simple change to make, I just don't know where to look.

I resolved all my issues. Just had to search google and rebuild half the databases in Hyperspin.
I have no idea what triggered all of this to happen but because it has happened I am now backing up important files so I don't have to spends hours redoing the entire configuration.

I don't know anything about this software. I have been learning by playing with it and breaking stuff, then learning how to fix it. I was looking for something to replace an old MAME build that

I used to use just to play arcade games. This seems like the perfect solution as their is a lot of variety.

Yeah this happens to me randomly too, not sure what triggers it. I keep a copy of my settings and update it whenever I make any changes because of this bug.
