signumc240 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Hello All, it's been a while since I have posted on here. I'm hoping someone can give me some help with Retroarch PSX Emulation. I had followed Austin's guide and had it running smoothly about 2 years ago. I moved had a couple of kids, etc. I put the arcade on the backburner. fast forward to last night, which was supposed to be my first day in a while to enjoy my arcade. I load up Catlevania SOTN and all hell breaks loose. I am running Hyperspin 1.4.4.0, RocketLauncher 1.2.0.1 and Retroarch version that Austin had in his video. Everything was working perfectly, I had my bezel working, games loading, playing, etc. Then I noticed that my memory card saves were not registering, I was using Mednafen Core, I switched to beetlepsx core and still could not get the saves to work. I thought it may be a module issue so I updated to the lastest Retroarch Module 2.4.3 to see if that would help with the saving. I did notice that the version of retroarch I have does not have a [saves] folder but rather a [save] folder. Not sure if this is whats causing the issue, I renamed the file within Retroarch to [saves] hoping this would resolve the issue. now when I try to load the emulator, none of my controls are sticking. Everytime I create a new config labeled [PlayStation] it continues to create a beetlepsx config and will not read my configured [PlayStation] config file. So, im still not sure if I can save, but now I have input and config problems. I have the same issue with mame, but i just quickly reset the controls. do you guys have any recommendations on where to start? its not a permissions problem, as far as reading config is concerned.
