Launch Bat/Exe before starting an emulator and after?

Hi guys,

so if I want to start a bat/exe program before (for example) launching MAME and after:

For example:

Before Launching: Start Program.bat

After Launching: Stop/Taskkill Program.bat

How can I do this? I heard it had something to do with the UserFunctions AHK Module but I cant program in ahk and I cant find any code for this.

Can somebody please explain me how to do this and maybe write an example code?
