Optics88 Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Hello All, I will try to be brief on my issue. I had a 4 player mame cabinet built for me 2 years ago. This cabinet uses a external hard drive from the pc that has RocketLauncherUI, HyperSpin, and Xpadder. Due to the computer having heat issues, integrated graphics, and other issues, I have put in a new pc I built. The PC is i7-10700K processor, Nvidia 2060 Super graphics Card, and 16 gigs of Ram with a good cooling system. I have it now in the cabinet and the external hard drive plugged into it. I have re-downloaded all required applications and followed the steps for all applications. HyperSpin when I launch it, works just fine. However, when I have xpadder and the existing profiles for the 4-player joysticks, for example: Player 1 & 2 layout - Arcade Player 1, Player 1 & 2 layout - Arcade Player 2, Player 3 & 4 layout - Arcade player 3, & Player 3 & 4 layout - Arcade Player 4, when I launch HyperSpin and try to use player 1's joystick, if i move up up on it one time, the wheel will just keep spinning and I have to force close. I went to RocketLauncherUI and went to your keymapper and hyper spin is on the frontend and I chose the joystick needed and even tested it on RocketLauncherUI and Xpadder and the joysticks and buttons work completely fine? Also, if you are wondering, I do have the joysticks turned off on HyperHQ as the forums have said not to use. The only thing confusing is I see Joy2Key is in the red saying no path as it does not exist. I never seen Joy2Key on the old computer. So my question to you all is can I use only xpadder to successfully operate HyperSpin with player 1's joystick, or do I need to download Joy2Key and set up the 4 joysticks with the keyboard inputs to successfully use the player 1 joystick to navigate through HyperSpin? I ask this as I heard HyperSpin doesn't like joysticks, only keyboard. Xpadder as of right now launches everytime with HyperSpin opening but only the keyboard works sucessfully with it. Thank you for the read and your time on how to possibly fix this situation as I feel I'm close to getting this system back up and running again.
