EnterTheRobot Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I've got a cabinet with X-Arcade controls and when i use the stick to scroll through emulators or games the wheel starts spinning and won't stop. Has anyone seen this before and know what the problem may be? The joy stick is fine and works with the games and for other front ends.

I've been experiencing sort of the same thing, I have the X-Arcade Tank Stick. When i use the joystick to scroll through the menus in hyperspin instead of stopping when i release the joystick it continues to scroll. The weird thing is though, it's not always repeatable. Sometimes it works perfectly, sometimes it just keeps scrolling. It's incredibly frustrating.
Lailoken Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Every time that has happened for me it's because the wheel is spinning when HyperSpin loses focus (i.e. another program starts up). If you have access to a keyboard try alt+tabbing out and then back in to Hyperspin and that might stop it; That always works for me.
emblabac Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 I just started having this problem when I moved to a new Windows 8 computer ... its driving me absolutely insane. For me, its EVERY TIME I start the application. It loads up straight to MAME, loads the theme for the random rom; then when I touch my X-Arcade stick (Dual) the wheel just shoots off ... I cant control it after that. I am clueless on how to fix it. I've re-defaulted the controls (in HyperHQ) and alt tabbing out doesnt help. Any suggestions would be great ...
emblabac Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Just found the solution in another post ... disable the trackball option in your controls. That worked for me ...
Guest Clueless Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 Did anyone ever solve this issue? I've played with every joystick menu I can find and nothing stops that wheel with one click of the analog stick? Any help would be useful!

I am using xpadder and was seeing the same thing. Turns out it was because i also had the joysticks enabled in hyperspin hq. Disabling there fixed it perfectly
