The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Problem with controls after updating

Hi guys

I havent been on the boards in a while...or even updated my system in a long time

yesterday I updated my files and even added three different controllers to my PC setup (i have two setups, PC and an arcade-the arcade works fine)

on my pc, i am using a mayflash adapter to use 3 PS3 controllers wireless with my PC...the device works great and each PS3 controller is registered as a mayflash controller rather than trying to fool the PC into thinking that the PS3 controllers are XBox controllers

I went about setting up each emulator again, i decided to just map each emulator input directly to the controller instead of having to use Joy2Key to map the controllers to keyboard keys. I am still using Joy2Key for each emulator to set the Start button to '1' and L3 and R3 to '3' and '4'. I am doing this because in most settings, I have 3 & 4 as exit emulator and 3 & 1 to start HyperPause.

I have a Joy2Key profile setup for Hyperspin, it maps each button on the controller to a keyboard key. I am doing this because I need to use keyboard keys for my HyperSpin input since the Joystick setting in HyperHQ don't function properly for some reason(moving up and down on my HS wheel causes too rapid of a movement and is inconsistent). I have also read somewhere that in order for other Profiles to work properly, I should have a HS profile so that Hyperlaunch knows how to go back and forth between the profiles...don't know how true this is. Either way, I need to use a HS profile.

1. With a HS profile, I have never had this problem before, but now I seem to. When I enter MAME, the HS profile stays active. I had set up my MAME to use joystick controls, but when I enter MAME, the joysticks are reproducing the keystrokes that were setup in the HS profile. This never seemed to happen before, at least I don't think it did.

2. When exiting an emulator, HyperLaunch does not always activate my HS profile, so I cannot move the wheel.

3. When exiting HyperPause with some emulators, such as Nestopia, I return to HS with Nestopia running in the background.

Are there any solutions out there to my problems?

For the first problem, is there a better way to go about setting up my emulators input? Should I just use Joy2Key and map my buttons on the controllers to keys? If I do use Joy2Key for every controller button, i guess it would be easier to have 1 profile for most systems, do I have to still create an individual profile for each system or can I use a global profile?

Thanks for any help...as I said, I have been out of HS discussion for a while and am trying to play catch-up.
