Help needed how can I have two mortal kombat 2 roms so can update one to umk2

Hi

As title says I don't wish to overwrite my mortal kombat 2 rom so how or is it possible to have two of the same roms so I can add the patch so have both of them in my mame section

go to HyperHQ and make a new wheel, name it whatever you want, umk2 for example, then in the routes for emulator search for mame and for roms search for your custom rom folder, then close HyperHQ, make an xml whit your mk2 rom and test if run over hyperspin.

then go and quit it from your main menu, don't delete just quit, then go to your mame xml and copy the mk2 entry an put an exe line under the bottom calling the umk2,

Will do this later after work but can I copy my mk2 rom and edit the copy saves getting another mk2 rom? Sorry for the silly questions but I am new to all this
