Hi everyone,

I have read the Mr Do's step by step on how to compile mame with diff files to make the high score work. I keep looking around the mame site and i cant seem to find the Mame0146.diff files at all. I found the 147 diff files. I read a step by step that even showed the Mame0146u_1.diff, mame0146u_2.diff, and mame0146u_3.diff files but i cant seem to find those anywere. Can i use the mame0.147u_1 and mame0.147u_2 on my mame 1.46?

Also i "Think" i was able to compile a mame 1.43 as a test but i never saw a "new" mame.exe once i am done with the compiling (using mamecompiler64) what do i need to copy to my main mame folder just the mame.exe that it should make?

I am just basicly trying to get high score to save for games like galaga which is one i am playing the most of right now. The nag/boot screens dont really bother me.

You don't need them. The mame source hosted already has all of the changes made in the updates incorporated into it. Just get the 146 source from mamedev and use the 146 no-nag patch from here,

make sure to add hiscore.dat file where mame.exe is generated and create hi directory. Also, if it didn't generate a mame.exe then your compile probably failed somewhere. check the error log. I am assuming you are using headkaze's mame compiler
