abs sheet - yay or nah?

So I bought an ABS sheet

My original plan was to use this to cut out a border for my lcd monitor.  then put plexiglass on top of that.  i see a lot of posts here that are painting the plexiglass to act as the border/bezel.  I dont have it yet so I am not sure what its going to look like.  thoughts?

 

so i guess what i am trying to ask is what people use for their bezel/screen protector?

My .02... It's a lot easier to mask and paint a perfect bezel border than cut ABS perfect.  Also, back painted Plexi or Lexan looks great!
