Hyperspin 1.3.3 and Rocketlauncher 1.0 fresh install issues

i have followed the "how to install hyperspin" post and cannot get rocketlauncher to work with hyperspin. it seems like ive got a file in the wrong spot or have told something to look in the wrong spot.

 

when selecting a game from hyperspin i get the following error "No Default_Emulator found in "C:\hyperspin\rocketlauncher\Settings\zupapa\Emulators.ini" Please set one so RocketLauncher knows what module to use."

 

 In the RocketlauncherUI i can launch my mame.exe with no issues.

 

When testing with rocketlauncher directly it has the rom in the system slot and the system in the rom slot. i fix this manually and still cannot get a game to boot. (also if i click the button to browse my files to select a system i get a pop up in the bottom right hand corner saying "Toasty")

 

i have redone the entire install 4 times and am confident im following the manual to a tee.
