Hi @dark13 thanks fro you reply. It has a i5-6500T (upto 3.1 GHz turbo, 2.5 GHz base, Quad core, 6M cache, 4 Threads). Any ideas if I have to use different modules. I dowloaded 0.244 and the matching ROM set, but I was getting some errors, something about modules?

Hi guys, Go easy on me, I'm a complete novice when it comes to MAME emulation. I'm building arcade cabinet, I have a Dell EliteDesk small form-factor PC with 8GB ram and a 3.1Ghz Processor with a 2TB drive. I'm running windows 10 and have setup Hyperspin and Rocketlauncher. I have had success with MAMEUIFX0.159 based on Simply Austin's Youtube Videos, however his video is 8 years old, how relevant is that video content these days? If one of you were setting up MAME for the first time , which emulator version would you use and what ROM set would you go for? Also If I was to use newer MAME versions do I need to worry about modules? Thanks in advance. Oh any videos or tutorials that would hlep me, please send me the links
