kenshutt97 Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Every now and again, I will load a game that uses retroarch, but for whatever reason, will crash it. This will bring up a dialog box in RA that says "Retroarch has crashed" or something to that effect. I get it, nothing is 100%, however, the problem I have is that it locks up HS and sometimes my PC. Often times, I can't click ok to get rid of the error and/or I will lose all mouse control. CTRL+ALT+DELETE or Even ALT F4 can sometimes fix the issue, but often times, I lose mouse control. Anyway, is there a better way to handle it so that RA can crash, but then I can just keep using Hyperspin without having to shut everything down and re-open? Does any of this make sense or should I try to make a movie or something?
newoski Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Some games don't work, which cause crashes. Aside from identifying all games and removing them from your XML, not really. But the list should be pretty short so I wouldn't worry about it. That said, is it's most games on a system, you might have a different problem... Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Tapatalk
kenshutt97 Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 Well, I can disable them from RLauncher, it's just more of a precaution. This is for a cabinet that is going in my basement for my kids to be able to use. If I'm not around, I don't want a bad game to cause them to not be able to play b/c it locks everything up. There's 100s of 1000's of games that run via Retroarch. I was just looking for better crash protection in general.
