Hey all! So after helping my friend Harry get his Fix it Felix Jr. up and running for the California Extreme show, I got a bit hooked! I am now (with Harry's help) looking to build a Mame machine/Steambox. My ultimate perfect world dream machine will utilize an arcade cabinet running Mame, and an standard joystick controls, an Xbox controller, and a keyboard and mouse. Not sure if this has been done yet, but I want my cabinet to dual function being a Mame and gaming computer.

Now all I need is the money and time to make it all happen! Haha. I'll keep you all updated once I start my project.

So, an update. I have a computer built for my system and am in the process of getting hyper spin up and running on it. I am also picking up an arcade cabinet in the next couple of days. I will then be customizing it to fit a widescreen 24"+ monitor. My cabinet already has two player controls, so I will be utilizing them on my build. I'm looking forward to getting photos and info out there once I have everything in front of me. I'm excited to get this build up and going!

Here is the cabinet I picked up: it's a z back from the mid 90s

Got my 27" monitor and keyboard and mouse. All I need to do it tear the cab down, clean it up, and repaint it.

This has been fun so far! Can't wait to get it done
