adeptjr Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Hello, I am a newbie. I am in the process of building a upright arcade. I want to make sure I am getting a PC to run most games. Trying to keep my cost low as possible. I found a refurbished PC - Intel Core 2 Duo, 3.0 Ghz. Is this enough to run most games? Not sure which games I will be playing beyond the classic arcades games. I saw a posting for Wacky Races, and would like to play that. If the PC will be able to play most games, the ones I might not be able to, would a Asus - NVIDIA GeForce 210 1GB GDDR@ PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card help? Thanks,
omamez Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I think you should be fine from what you have listed maybe higher end stuff no, but then again I'm no expert either
bclout Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Are you planning to use shaders? Because when i used shaders with only my onboard gpu, i got audio stutter in mame games. Installing a dedicated video card solved that issue. I am running amd A4-3400 with asus R9 270 videocard.
adeptjr Posted August 5, 2015 Author Posted August 5, 2015 Any recommendations for a reasonable graphic card and / or other cards. To maximize my experience gaming with a Intel Core 2 Duo, 3.0 Ghz. Thank you,
