I have been trying since day one to get Retroarch with working with Amiga using the puae core, So far I can get the boot with a nice bezel and the Amiga boot 3.1 screen, very pretty. But I cant get it loads any games, I have read that the core needs a uaerc file somewhere, but no one have has a clear answer where to put it. I know am so close in getting it working and tried so hard to do it my self, but I need you guys. Please help. Thanks John.
spudgunjake Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 I am getting this error but got no idea what ./././ means load config './././.uaerc':0 Opening cfgfile './././.uaerc': failed load failed failed to load config './././.uaerc'
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 Amiga does work... its a pain in the ass and you have to get the exact settings for it to work... but it works. Retroarch needs each game to be setup before the launch depending on the game and its requirments. This is on a game by game basis and means that its a real pain in the ass to get this to run in Hyperspin. Amiga emulation is best done through the WHD or WinUAE. Its a bitch to setup at the start, but then you only need to sit back and have all the games run perfect from that day on.... heaven! Simply Austin's YouTube
spudgunjake Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 Thanks austin585 for the info. Very helpful. Here's how I got the .uaerc to load. I managed to load config './././.uaerc file, with a lot of will power, It turns out the file needs to be .uaerc with out any name, this file needs to be in the root of retroarch folder, same for kick.rom (kick start 3.1 rom) Windows doesn't like files without any name. The easy way to create a file in windows 7, is to name it .uaerc. then delete the last . leaving .uaerc Link for info. http://superuser.com/questions/64471/create-rename-a-file-folder-that-begins-with-a-dot-in-windows John.
