uselessmidget Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Hey guys,I have been setting up multiple emulators in hyperspin. In order to make everything kosher I have to rename the roms to match my media files. I have done this without issue with SNES, GB, GBC, & GBA. But everytime I try to do it with NES It checks all the roms names, then checks all the media names (wheel art), and as soon as it starts to compare the two and make the matches it says FAILED. something caused an arithmetical error. It stops on the very first one, so I removed that media file and ran again, it fails on the next one too, I tried removing the first 4 wheel arts so it started on diffrent ones and still failed everytime on the first one. I verified I am using all stock settings on Fat Match. I even redownloaded and ran a fresh copy no luck. I tried reducing & increasing search accuracy no luck.I also tried TurMatch which worked although it selected alot of (J) roms instead of (U) and there is no way to go through and select an alternate. So unless I go through and delete all non-applicable versions of the rom I wont get the right ones.Any help would be greatly appreciated. Im working on this after work and I've been up till 3am the last 2 nites trying to figure out why fat match has a NES complex.THANKS!
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Have you checked if you have any other random files mixed into the folder your trying to match or rename? this can cause issues depending on whats in there
uselessmidget Posted August 14, 2015 Author Posted August 14, 2015 Have you checked if you have any other random files mixed into the folder your trying to match or rename? this can cause issues depending on whats in there HOLY CRAP ITS AUSTIN! That was quick dude love the videos!! Yes I checked, for example once it has read all media names and rom names and begins the matching it displays the very first media file in folder >looking for match for it> bam stops and gives error. So I know its hanging up on every media file. I will PM you info on rom pack Edit: To clarify yes rom and media folders are clean and fresh. No BS in there. I will double check when I get home to be sure. I did unzip the root rom folders because rocketlauncher cant read a zipped rom inside of a zip. My roms where packaged by game in a zip, multiple roms and version in that zip. I unzipped all of those so rocketlaunch can find them. Perhaps there were a couple that only had one version thus I would have unzipped the rom which we all know is a bunch of files with a big string of numbers as file names.

uselessmidget Posted August 14, 2015 Author Posted August 14, 2015 Wow for anyone experiencing problems like I have with rom names not matching in Rocketlauncher dont bother. All roms are available with the correct names already if you know where to look.
