Dolphin, NullDC & Audio

Hey guys,

Here's a couple of weird issues I've ran into that I hope you can help me with.

Firstly, when I boot up a gamecube game in dolphin and then exit the game, rocketlauncher doesn't play the fade out screen but just quits straight back to Hyperspin. I've checked the settings in rocketlauncher and it is set up correctly, Any ideas on that?

Secondly, when testing dolphin last night through hyperspin, when starting up a game the emulator was lowering my computer volume down to 1. It eventually stopped doing that (i must of done something I wasn't aware of) but NullDC seems to be doing the same thing. This has also stumped me.

What dya reckon?

Thanks!

hmmm this does sound a lttle strange.  First the exit fade.  I cant test myself now but I remember theres 2 issues with the Dolphin exit.  Again I could be wrong Im not at my PC so this is from memory....

1.  ESC key is set it Dolphin as exit, as well as RocketLauncher/HyperLaunch.  Pressing ESC means it almost confuses Hyperspin as its not being shut by HS... this happens on some other emus... P64 off top of head?  good way to get around this is to redefine the exit key in Dolphin itself.

or

2.  D3D or OpenGL, resolution setting all play with the way it exits this.  I do not have an exit fade due to this.  I play Dolphin in 4k res and if I keep the fade on, when I exit the games I get a warped looking fade exit.  To keep it neat I just turn it off.

Hope this helps mate... again, this could all be crap as I aint at the PC.... but it may help?

Hey

Thanks for your reply Austin.

Having tinkered around with it I have solved/found a work around for both my issues.

I had set the emulator to mute as part of the fade settings which was causing my volume to go off the rails. As for the exiting of dolphin, I was using the hot key combination of back and start to exit the emulator that you describe in one of your videos Austin, and this seemed to be the issue for me. If I use the Esc key, the fade screen will load but using the hotkeys it won't. So I plan to set a profile with Xpadder to map my controller to the Esc key.

Not the tidiest solution but a solution all the same!

Thanks for your help Austin. I enjoy watching your vids so keep up the good work pal.
