heykool69 Posted August 31, 2015 Posted August 31, 2015 I got a odd problem i couldn't find an answer to. Maybe someone had crossed this before can lend a hand. I'd downloaded the newest version "Snes9x-x64" cuz i'm running Windows 8.1 x64. I'd mapped my emulator path in HyperHQ to that Snes9x-x64.exe. And the ROMS are mapped correctly. Each time i'd tried to run a rom in Hyperspin....i get an error "Cannot find the emulator: D:\......\snes9x.exe". But when i renamed my acutall file name from "Snes9x-x64" to "Snes9x"....it works. I can get in the emulator and sees every games on the wheel, but just keep getting the error when launching the games. Reason why i don't like renaming my exe file name to Snes9x was because there is no setting, configuration, etc.....tabs on the top when i run that exe file. It's just total blank page. But with "Snes9x-x64", all the tabs are there for all the settings or configurations. Also once i let the HyperHQ & Hyperspin runs "Snes9x.exe", i can't get back to the "....-x64" files with the working tabs even when i just rename it back to "Snes9x-x64". It's very odd. I'll have to delete a few files and copy & paste "fmodex64.dll" and "snes9x-x64" to get my tabs back up again. In other threads, a member "Styphelus" said to use RetroArch to fix 80% of the problems. But i really wanna give this Snes9x emulator a try since it looks quite easy to setup. Also how do you all exit from Nintedo games or Emulator? In MAME, i assigned the ESCAPE to one of my CP button. But in Nintendo or Sega, there is no settings for it. Thanks.
